Ham has a short time to become the coach he said he was going to be. Roster is no longer an excuse.

Russ showing up at Ham introduction was comical. As we now know, they both needed each other. Ham got the job was to make it work with Russ. Luckily for Ham, its a contract year for Russ.

It is time to get rid of any hiring relating to Russ. We are not in the business of developing coaches. Find a proven coach and not look back.

This is my problem with this hiring from the start and I said he will be Luke Walton 2.0 and got a lot of push back then but I think we can now all agree this was a bad hire for a team with LeBron on it.

For the love of god, the most successful coaches last years are all inexperienced. Kerr initially, built a dinasty. Last year Udoka went to the Finals. Look what Mazulla is doing this year.
    What matters is the QUALITY.

Or do you want Van Gundy? Lol

Now, Ham definitely needs to do better. No excuses. FO did an amazing job. Lebron's playing MVP level and hopefully AD gets back to be a force. This is like a new season for us, starting tomorrow. Play-in needs to be guaranteed, but I'm aiming for top 6. Let's go Ham!!

Ummm ... all good but realistically new season starts Saturday and we most definitely have an excuse tonight. Just hope Giannis doesn't break anybody before our "new season".

OK taking suggestions here for who’s the PG that will be running the bench since we know Numbnuts isn’t taking his BFF out of the starting lineup, making both it and the bench less impactful than they can be. :swear: Par for this guy’s MO. Reaves? Handles good enough by now against other teams’ reserves? Everything else should be fine … size, smarts, passing, playmaking and shooting?

    Prove us wrong Darvin!

If DS is not moved to the bench, I want canned Ham after this season. Rob restructured this team better than I had hoped. There are very clear, easy lineups that cure a lot of issues we're having.

If it's not DLO at point and then Beasley, AR, or LW at SG; then Ham is not cut out for this position and needs to go back to Milwaukee as lead assistant.

Relationships with players that stretch years and years are great until they cloud your judgment and impact your decision making.

I’m all for Reaves as the bench PG since that used to be his natural position.

Walton wasn’t as dumb as this guy “appears” to be so far. I’m with JM. The logical lineups first and 2nd units aren’t rocket science here and that means Schroder does not start. He should run the really fine and fun bench. And this Turkey needs to dump immediately the stupid too short rotation and play more guys intelligently as per the dictates of each game and keep guys fresh.

Yeah there’s that. He’s already managed to have achieved an apparently, non load managing speak, legitimate foot problem with him and is working on the D’antoni accomplishment of an achilles. ;)

We've got a dimwit goblin for a coach. No amount of Rob magic can fix that. You people are as delusional as many were at the beginning of this disaster.

Yep. There were some of you (not naming names) that thought that Ham is a great replacement for Vogel.

I find that discomforting that such a smart bunch can be driven astray so easily.

Most of us, not all, didn't want Vogel fired simply as a fall guy, which obviously is what happened. He had just delivered a championship a couple years or less earlier under trying, isolated away from friends and family conditions.

But unlike YOU I guess none of us had a crystal ball this guy was going to do objectively stupid stuff with the roster. He had the plays, the strong personality and came from a winning culture plus was "supposedly" supposed to be a strong defensive coach like Vogel. Like Pika said most of the recent successful coaches were rookies. Sure didn't want another gawddamned retread after unfairly canning Vogel.

Well, what can I tell you, LT... I was skeptical. And am very said that my fears were realized.

Let's hope he learns quickly, cause I don't see us firing him in the summer, unfortunately.
