We know that's a fantasy idea..this is supposed to be the trade that made us a contender? Meh..It doesn't fit Rob's stated requirements for coughing up those picks.

It doesn’t need to be a trade for the picks, it needs to be a trade that re-balances the roster, and gives us smaller tradable contracts.

At least put your away message on first.

Are we lucky enough for this to be his last game as a Laker?

i had to watch it several times trying to figure out who cared less--lebron or russ. the thunder guys were moving around and probably confused as to why no one even bothered to track them.

For someone who cares as much about stats as Russ does, that's a good final line as a Laker. Might as well move on. ... please!

If he’s on the team past Thursday, I won’t be here, I can’t take the depressing implications of having to watch this for 20-something more games and then the threat of us re-signing him at a lower pay.

Wasn’t just stats though. He looked like the only one out there that was trying to compete for a W.

I had also been seeing a lot of memes about him likely downplaying/sabotaging Lebron’s record, but in the third quarter it looked like he was actually trying to feed Lebron. He was being a good teammate, even after Lebron threw him under the bus again with the recent push for Kyrie.

I 200% hope that is the last time I have to watch Russ in the P&G, but this game was disheartening because it cemented to me that our woes really DO go much deeper than Russ.

Umm his TO's were absolutely brutal. A lot of his points came in garbage time but man the combination of missed layups and TO's that cost the Lakers easy fastbreak points or led to easy OKC buckets was awful.

I don’t disagree with that. His turnovers and some momentum killing botched layups were killer.

But I guess my point is that those aren’t an indictment on his competitive fire. He just isn’t good.

But he was at least TRYING out there. Which SHOULDN’T be worth any praise, but it stands out so much in contrast when you have AD being absolutely invisible out there.

AD's odd behavior was unusual, russ throwing the ball to the other team to ignite fast breaks is standard.

it's so weird; i was watching the game and thinking he was hurting us, but the box score looks pretty good. it doesn't capture all the layups he gave up on defense (i can distinctly remember at least two) and buckets off live ball turnovers, though.

anyway, yeah, nobody can say he doesn't play hard. but nobody can say he's a good nba player anymore, either.

This about sums up my estimation of Russ's career: the greatest garbage time player of all time

Feel like this front office and coaching staff has let Russ pretty much do what ever he wants without consequence.

If he can't be traded he should just be John Wall'd after the deadline.

Just really no need for him at this point. It'll open up more minutes for Reaves and Walker.
