    Congrats to the kid from Akron. Was clear he was doing this tonight before the opening tip. Nice he was able to do it with all his family and friends in attendance. It was the right thing to do to pause the game and let the moment breathe and be celebrated. Glad he wanted to get it done before the start of the 4th to let that not overtake the mission at hand.

    I never thought I’d see Kareem’s record broken, just amazing. That this dude had all that hype put on him since high school and was one of the few to not only live up to it, but exceed it, just wild. And he did it as a Laker, 5 players in the top 10 all time scoring list are Lakers (6 if you want to count Malone), truly historic franchise.

    Yeah he's definitely been impactful this year. The Lakers are routinely + with him out there and a big - when he's on the bench.

    Shouldn't be the case at 38.

    I honestly think if we don’t make any substantial moves at this deadline, and then if we don’t with the picks we’ve saved around draft day-free agency, he asks for a trade. Cannot see him wasting another season here if that’s the case, why put your body what he must be putting it through at his age if there’s absolutely no shot at a ring going in? Rings are the only thing he’s missing for some people in the GOAT talks, not me, but for some people.
