Quite possible. I mean, there's no way Fred is any taller than 5'11", while PatBev certainly is around 6'1".

I s*** you not I think there was about 3 minutes against the Pelicans the other night where 6'1 Pat Bev was guarding 6'8 Brandon Ingram, 6'3 Russell Westbrook was guarding 6'8 Herbert Jones and 6'1 Dennis Schroeder was guarding 6'9 Trey Murphy...

Ham is awful- just awfully bad with his rotations.

Looks alright, I would expect Charlotte to want to include Plumlee in any deal given their log jam at center and upcoming youth there. Also there is the question of do they want to salary dump with Rozier because I don't know how likely the resigning of Westbrook will be, likely there will be mutual disinterest.

Hey Russ is 6'3 1/2", he's almost a center in the Ham sandwich.

That's unlikely. Who was the point guard for them?

McCollum is their point and Alvarado is technically their backup (who was blowing past everyone) but I dont think either of them was in the game at this particular juncture but they had Jones/Murphy/Ingram handling the ball.

Even if I am mistaken, I saw those guarding matchups at particular points of the game and PatBev (with 6'8 Rui Hachimura sitting the entire quarter) was on Brandon for most of the 4th quarter...

The bottom line is we either need to get bigger or Ham needs to break away from having 2/3 of our tiny guards in there at the same time. Hopefully Reaves return will help him move away from that and after Thursday one or both of RW/Pat Bev will be no longer here

    Exactly.
They had a 8 man rotation, so if CJ and Alvarado were out then two of JV, Nance and Naji were in. And JV missed the forth so I don't see it happening. You may have been mislead

What I did see was a height disadvantage that we could have switched if we played Rui instead of Troy down the stretch. That lost us the game imo

It's unforgiven that you have LeBron and AD on the floor against one big that is Nance, coupled with two skinny forwards on Ingram and Trey and you don't murder them on the inside. Terrible coaching

Ya, I dont get the sense he (Ham) knows very much of what is going on. I am ok with Brown (6'6) being in the game but it needs to be at the expense of one of the midget guards not for Hachimura. And yes it did puzzle me why we didn't force the ball inside more, but again our two stars were gassed because he didn't get them out at separate times in the 3rd quarter (both came out late together and ended up playing whole 4th quarter).

It is why we really don't know what we have as a team. AD and LeBron have played A TOTAL of 18 games together this season. They have played with Rui only a handful of times, same with Reaves- and none of the four have played a game together yet.

It doesn't take a genius, as of right now; to realize these are the four you give your minutes to when you are 100% healthy. Schroder has been the most consistent among your guards and he is the quickest afoot, so he is your #5.

Bryant and Gabriel, for different reasons (Thomas to spread floor, post when AD is out and Wenyen to give you that spark); are your two backups inside but the Lakers can ill afford to have 2 of (or dare I say all 3 of) the three midgets (PatBev, Dennis and Westbrook) in there at the same time. It is even worse that opposing defenses don't respect their outside shot (especially RW's).

Westbrick: 41.4%- including 28.6% from distance
Beverley: 39.9%- including 34.2% from distance
Schroder: 41.1%- including 35.5% from distance

Bev has actually gotten better as season has worn on, but man that is awful collectively...all three of them are shooting about 2 percentage points BELOW their career norms

Ham seems addicted to doing this though...

He used Brown (a little better at 6'6 and 43/35%) like you said exclusively in the fourth, but that was with Schroder AND PatBev in there (aside from a minute from Westbrook) while Hachimura nested on the pine.

    Dude seems clueless at times

Latest from MacMahon on the Jazz (current twitter aggregation of this isn't exactly accurate).

*The Russ side of this is in the Russ thread as well

    Who's gettable
They're not going to trade just to trade and will look for young players and/or picks
The Laker package that's getting aggregated as THE offer, but he says "including." Even then, that's far off from Shams report yesterday
They're also talking to the Knicks on a Beasley + Vanderbilt deal

if rosas once again trades for beasley/vanderbilt, conley/olynyk/alexander-walker works for russ. saves us 8 million this year, gives us a legit pg to replace russ's production, a very playable big in olynyk (plus-defender, 40% from three this year, 37% career), and an interesting reclamation project in NAW, who's been a solid defender the past couple of years and is shooting 40% from three in limited action this year.

again, depending on what the draft capital particulars are...you could do worse.

That all sounds interesting and it seems we are really trying to add depth right now. I won’t complain about that at all.

Ham would start Schroder and Conley together. 4th quarter he adds Beverly for his fetish threesome.

I would give up one of the FRPs, top 5 protected for that deal.
