There weren't any on the roster tonight. Doesn't matter who he put out there.

10-41 from 3. Russ and Brown were on the floor, they accounted for half of our makes.

when Lebron retires, he will put the all time record out of reach for sure

Westbrook won't be given the opportunity to play long enough to catch him IMHO.

I don't think Luka stays in shape long enough to get the record. Pretty sure he'll be gone by 35

    but, on another note

    Torch = Passed

I think the key words here for me are “in isolation”. He can get to the basket, but he usually does it best when someone jumps out and gives him a quick screen. In isolation he struggles to get by anyone, and tonight especially his shot off isolation looked bad to me. Like he doesn’t have the greatest handles and off the dribble moves ever, but tonight he looked like he didn’t even want to bother pretending to have some, it was pure settling, and that to me goes back to him being old. It’s going to happen sometimes, more and more frequently over the years, we just don’t move the same as we get older, gets harder to build that head of steam, to turn that corner, to bend that extra bit to get by someone. On the whole I agree with you though, and your other point here, we don’t have shooters, it is what it is.

Lebron draws 2-3 people when he penetrates, we have literally no one to capitalize on that it will always be our problem.

He's in a slump from deep, that's a big part of his game now. The lift comes and goes, and he didn’t have that either tonight. We still had multiple chances to win the game. It wasn't his best shooting game, but he had support. He'll bounce back

He still gets hacked with impunity entirely to often too.

you just kinda knew those threes weren't going down. and then when he did drive, he didn't have the lift to finish the plays down the stretch.

i thought it looked a lot like the early season games--we played pretty well and pretty hard, but we shot poorly and the other team's secondary talent was better than ours.

we really missed AD (obviously) and reaves (just could have used another playmaker).

He's blown so many leads, so many games.. he's absolutely atrocious with late game offense.

we don't have a lot of options, currently. i thought he settled for three too often, but tbh, when he drove late, he failed there, too. we need someone who can make plays there. schroder's a candidate, but he's not a threat from three late, so teams play him differently.

i don't know what could have really been done with who we had available.

Maybe his worst game of the year, but I half blame Ham for playing him soooo many minutes.

Combination of the 3 point shot failing him and credit Dallas as Stu mentioned last night they basically sold out on him with doubles.
Bryant and Schroeder not playing at high level really got him out of his drive and post game so when his 3 didn't fall yet again it ended up being a poor game.

Schroeder needed to hit some of those 3's and Wood got into Bryant's head so he wasn't taking shots didn't give the team a chance to get the ship corrected. Disappointing: frankly surprised they really should have won the game

Wood is a bad matchup for Bryant, he has too much lateral quickness and he can dribble. Gabriel was the proper adjustment, Dennis was just off last night, it happens.

Lebron had a bad game and his 3 pt shooting is a concern but I'm surprised people are just saying stuff about isolation, etc. without looking at what Dallas was doing defensively. there was a reason Lebron couldn't post up or start a PnR at the top of the key and use a mid range jumper if his 3 wasn't falling. Dallas as stu repeatedly mentioned made a huge effort to double him anytime he started moving off the bounce.

Really took Lebron out of rhythm and Lakers for whatever reason failed over and over again to take advantage of the 4 on 3 on the other side of court. I think a few time Bryant passed up shots but then he was out of the game and Dallas kept running the same defense. Schroeder missed some shots but felt like both Lebron and the Lakers as a whole didn't seem to know what to do with that hard double off the bounce. Classically no team wanted to do that to Lebron as he'd find an open guy but Lakers despite the numerical advantage created didn't seem to have anyone break free (I think wenyen had a nice cut for an easy dunk but that was it)

Kidd knows Lebron's game, without AD, Russ is the only guy we have that will consistently attack the paint besides James . We tend to fan out around the 3pt line when Lebron has the ball. Austin and Wenyen are probably our most reliable guys at cutting to the basket, instead of hanging out at the three point stripe watching Lebron too. Still..we had our chances last night,Luka just hit some big shots.

we missed a ton of open threes throughout the game, which made guys a bit gun shy. again, reaves helps in these situations.

it'd be a medical and scientific mystery if he still had that same explosiveness at age 38 and with nearly 20 years of NBA, playoff, and olympic mileage in his legs. the fact that he's still able to play at this level is incredible in itself
