Found it, or a similar anyway, just stumbled across this not even looking for it (seems to be a Spurs site) was posted Monday. The writer here seems to think we'll be throwing FRPs at them for even just taking on Russ which we all know ain't gonna happen so.....but there may be some truth to them talking

lol, there was a better-informed piece by a different spurs blogger back before the season started, in which they were expressing dissatisfaction that the spurs hadn't been able to rent their cap space out as they hoped. the clock is ticking on that for them, just as it is for us to upgrade in talent.

That’s a spurs fan blog not anything official. I can start a laker one up and start writing about how the Raptors are gonna send us OG for a single pick, Bev and Nunn but it doesn’t make it true.

Didn't say it was true, said it looked like Spurs site even, I said there "may" be some truth about them talking and I dissed the writer's credibity. Selective reading at it's best, well done Sparky.

I don’t want it to come across like I’m being picky or picking on you. I enjoy your posts, it’s also nice to have someone on the site that tries to understand the cap like I enjoy to do as well.

I just thought you meant they were officially talking, but it was just a random reporting from an only spurs point of view. I still can’t believe people can be so subjective - like we’re gonna give them a first to take on Russ who is a neutral player now with a massive expiring that they only need to pay half of? Frankly the writers take is a joke.

So I wasn’t directing that at you, but the writer of the blog!

Oh, and here I am thinking your sarcastic reply/example about pipe Raptor trades was meant to teach me an example of reality.

Real bad game against Dallas: Wood got into his head and that impacted his offense.
Trash on defense but that was too be expected but was disappointed it took him out of the game on other end.

He passed up a bunch of open mid range shots that he can hit easily but instead of being aggressive just rotated the ball as an example which bailed out the D.

    Shoot the ball Bryant!

seems like gabriel has been outplaying him the last couple games (and getting more minutes)

    is the fun over?

No. But it is fun watching Gabriel get better and better on offense to go with his motor and defense.

i think bryant's defensive issues get highlighted the more he plays against starters (and the more teams gameplan expecting him to be there).

he's still a good backup center.

Could be a blessing in disguise. If he continues his All Star level play on offense throughout the remainder of the season, he probably leaves this summer for a lot more than we are willing to offer. If he remains a little inconsistent, we have a much higher chance of retaining him.

i like bryant, but yeah, the premature concern over whether we can keep him next year was overboard. i hope we can keep him, but he's a 20mpg guy, max, imo.

Him and Schroder were playing out of their minds during that 5 game win streak. They have both come back down to earth in a big way. That's the way it goes with role players, we shouldn't really expect all-star production for the vet min...
