Yeah, that's a great plan. Destined to fail.

Meh.. The players suck, the HC sucks..we are 15-11 after a 2-10 start, with at least 3 blown games AD has missed the last 9 contests. Vogel went 12-29 in his last 41 games.

Here it comes … the defense of starting 2 midgets instead of one of Reaves or Brown alongside Walker (before hurt from fall). Go Slick!

    :LLLLLebronlaughing:

The question is who committed more to the needlessly blown games …. Ham or Russ?

More like AD missing his FT's wasn't it?

Anyway what ever lineups were used..15-11 means that something is working, even without AD. I'll take it game by game, maybe Hamm knows a bit more about coaching his team than we do?

Ham has had ups and downs for sure but I do credit him for keeping the team going after our awful start.

i think the 15-11 and the 2-10 are both largely a result of the schedule, tbh. if you looked at our starting schedule and expected good things, you were sorely mistaken--especially when utah showed up in non-tank mode. since then we've performed as i expected (some unexpected wins and losses that kind of balance out).

with AD and lebron, we're a 45-win team. with them missing 1/4 of the season each, we're a 37-win team. the latter is probably how it shakes out, trade or no trades, sadly.

Yeah we do … and did when AD was on the floor. Not with both out of course.

I do give Ham some credit for being 15-11 since the rocky start that as abeer pointed out was in large part due to the schedule. I had much rather be the 18-8 we could easily be. As much as I liked Ham I just don't see any reasonable way I can defend his lineups. I know we don't have a stacked roster but at least use what you have the best way possible.

You stated the team had no shot without Bron on the floor. I’m simply saying not true. We won a number of games when he didn’t play and AD carried us by himself.

i'd like to see a bit more even though i'm obviously frustrated with some of his choices. i think the little sporadic injuries to walker, brown, and JTA have maybe hurt his ability to mix in some of our larger perimeter players and find the right spots for them. if he gets all three available for a stretch of games, maybe he'll cut back on the small guard units.

still doesn't justify the bev/schroder pairing, though. when you play two guards that small, they need to be offensive dynamos like lillard/mccollum. this...isn't that.

theres no AD currently so yes they have no chance without both then and Bron playing 40mins+ now is most likely due to the fact AD isnt there

It doesn't look like his decision to play those lineups are linked with availability. It looks like he really likes them. I haven't liked his use of Lonnie, Troy, Reaves, JTA and Max. They haven't seen the court as often (or in the right situations) as they should in place of Schroder, Bev and Nunn. Or heavy LeBron minutes.

I don't give him a pass on that because it's solely strategy and his view of what the team needs.

I guess he likes his players to drive to the basket and wings are less comfortable doing that than guards.

On the other hand we could easily (minor details just going our way) have 3 or 4 more wins which would put us in a pretty good position considering our Russ and AD situations that have harmed our ability to have success. And he gets most credit for that

i'm not an expert in this, but if you look at the principles of the 4-out offense, if you don't have shooters (preferable), you need to have capable drivers.

that doesn't explain beverley, though, as he's really neither.

i'm trying to give him he benefit of the doubt...

The heck? You’re saying something entirely different than what I replied to originally. It’s a good thing actually we at least have proof of life that AD is still that kind of player and we won games with him carrying the load with LeBron out. Which you stated Ham could not do. As has LeBron carried us with AD out. Too many minutes …. sure. Certainly not ideal and dangerous. But that’s another issue from what you said.

i thought it would be obvious of a statement as Bron has been playing 40mins+ as of late, probably AD since AD injury....why would I imply the team has no chance if AD is there?

LOL … I don’t know Kh!! FFS I was replying to this exact statement below.

You brought up Brown in Cleveland who didn’t do well winning without LeBron on the floor just like Lue didn’t. I just stated a fact Ham was winning some games with AD playing well. If you “MEANT” with BOTH of them not available why didn’t you say that? Maybe because you’d be Captain Obvious with the remaining roster we have? …. And how is that even a knock on Ham?
