I really do think it was a sarcastic joke because a lot of his other tweets indicated that he was a huge Kobe fan.

I didn't feel his attire was disrespectful, plus I spotted a Lakers logo on the shirt. He was repping the P&G already. Anyway it gave me that old midwest basketball prodigy vibe..... the kind of kid that would go play for Bobby Knight, so they could get yelled at. Went to college in Wyoming. Blue collar indeed seems to be who he is. Loved all of his interviews so far, even before the Lakers picked him.

Loved his part of the interview. He's comfortable with who he is and what he brings. That's why he dressed like a salesman and not like an NBA player, that's alright.

I can see why the name Madsen was brought up. He seems like an excellent role player in the NBA. He knows his role, wants to succeed in it, and he's going to work his butt off for us on a nightly basis. I'm excited about the possibilities there.

He seems like a genuinely nice guy. Kids at 19 usually aren't the smartest, the tweet to me was never THAT big of a deal. I'm hoping he's got some real fire in him on the floor though like Madsen brought. Mark was never very good, but boy he'd outwork you and that's what a valuable role player brings.

I enjoyed listening to him during the introduction press conference. He's well spoken, and obviously more mature after 4 years of college than he was when he wrote that tweet. He genuinely seems happy to be here, happy to be drafted in the 1st round at all, and ready to go to work. Everyone joining a team always talks about coming in to win, but these rookies are going to be motivate for sure wearing the purple and gold to make that happen. They all seemed to get along really well already, which I take as a good sign, talking about being welcomed to "the family" by Kobe and Tarik. At the very least, with all the young guys we have this season, they should be a close group and I think we can expect some good chemistry on the court.

On the basketball side of things, watching videos of Nance in the thread, I don't know who to compare him to, but he kinda reminds me of Josh McRobrerts.

Fortunately, I never drank until I was 21, so I would never have been intoxicated enough to do that when I was 19...the and the internet had barely started...and I had a Nokia 6190.

...can Nancey play some relative minutes at the 3? Thoughts? I really want our draftees to develop. Growing pains but the payoff could be worth it.

Brown looks to be a viable bench player for instant offense with Russell finding him on the floor.

From the DraftExpress clip, he looked really mobile on defense. I don't see why not.

How does everyone feel about his shot mechanics? Looks a little funky to me, but surprisingly effective.

I wouldn't be surprised if he spends a good bit of time at SF.

Shawn Marion. I think after hearing him interviewed tonight on Sportsnet Im sold. He has a great head on his shoulders, went to school for 4 years and said he wants to be like K. Leonard, Dreymond Green, and be unguardable...

He has a hook shot (jump hook) and hops....but the long arms and such are a great fit to clog up the passing lane on D
