Just seen that. You know what Cleveland is looking for, right, guys? Another point guard/creator. Cory Joseph will be involved in this deal me thinks and other salaries to make this work. Big development.
I can't answer that other than I would hate trading Randle, at this moment. The other parts sure, no problem. We all need to see him at least in the summer league, and if making this big of a decision (don't forget... alpha dog leader... the eye test .... like Russell, has "IT") certainly through the pre-season games. What if he is in Barkley's class for being a unique PF and force in the league? To some degree. 70%? 80?? We need a good look at him healthy.
But the Cavs already have big men out the a**. It would make no sense to take on Splitter/Diaw for the Cavs. Mills makes sense.
I'm confused. Why would the Spurs do that? Also, count me in on the not moving Russell or Randle movement. I would move Clarkson if I had to, but really don't want to do that either. Dump Sacre as Doc suggested. See if we can move Nick to create the extra space for RoLo.
To have enough room for LMA. It doesn't make any sense otherwise. Kind of ironic that Comic Sans cried to the league because we were going to be making moves like this, but turns around and is doing it himself.
So basically Spurs are going to trade Splitter and some for Haywood, and then cut him for space since his contract is not guaranteed.
Parker / _____ Ginobili / _____ Kawhi / Anderson Duncan / _____ LMA / Splitter or Parker / ____ Ginobili / _____ Kawhi / Anderson Duncan / Diaw LMA Either way, they are limping into the playoffs. No more rest for Parker/Ginboli/Duncan.
Mills is a quality backup. Spurs will lose Green Bellinelli, and possibly Mills all the process of going after LMA
they'll probably just dig some bodies out of the bargain bin and turn them into coveted role players (gary neal, danny green, marco bellinelli, boris diaw) LIKE THEY FREAKING ALWAYS DO.
This. They have a bunch of ridiculous prospects overseas. This is a year old, but you get a sense... http://www.poundingtherock.com/2014/3/9/5484398/checking-in-on-the-spurs-draft-and-stash-prospects
^Well...San Antonio has had what ten centuries of winning records A.D.D. [After Drafting Duncan]? Popovich and their G.M. know their stuff.
