the drama has begun....mad king Game of Throne style. Rob is Tywin Lanister waiting/plotting to get rid of the King and bring power back to himself and maybe jeanie (cersie)

i know. the media blitz is really starting to piss me off.

someone please write a hit piece on lebron signing the extension, just to balance the scales.

when kobe signed for sub-max, the media NEVER let anyone forget how much he was making and that he chose to stay. they act like we trapped lebron in the basement or something. stfu.

He hasn't been chucking though. His offense has been good and he's not ball stopping on offense unless he is actively trying to create a mismatch or let the play run.

Lakers have had positive plus minus with his minutes which is saying something on how bad overall the roster has looked outside of Reaves

I agree our roster is bad but disagree with Bron not ball stopping. He still pounds the ball way too much for my liking.

he's pounding less, but he's still taking bailout threes to save his legs and only hitting them every third game.

and his plus/minus speaks more to the dearth of talent on the roster--especially now that AD's out--than it does to what he's doing.

anyway, my fury isn't for lebron's play as much as it is for the media barrage about him being wronged. get that s*** out of here.

Lebron averages 4.2 seconds per touch, which is 85th in the NBA. Luka, Trae, Garland, Ja, Wall, Harden, CP3, Shai, Brunson, Westbrook, Donovan Mitchell, Conley, Payne, Jrue, Booker, Dinwiddie, (just to name some names in the top 30) are all bigger ballstoppers than Bron is.

His efficiency has been great so offense hasn't really been a concern. The offense in general has a 118.2 rating the last 6 games since AD has been hurt, which would be the best in the league. The defense has been a disaster though and Lebron is definitely not helping with that.

Maybe but to me it's in the star has to do it at some points. again absolutely I've seen nothing to suggest he's chucking.

Lebron is perfectly fine with the situation .

The main talk is about him still putting incredible numbers at his age/for his mileage and the Lakers FO unable to surround him ... and not about him not being able to lead a good roster if he had one to a title anymore ( which would be totally normal in year 20).

He's still enjoying playing the game , will break lots of records and enjoy living in California .

He couldn't care less about the Lakers situation , it's a win-win situation for him , still putting elite numbers while the FO , Westbrook and AD get most of the blame pie.

yeah, if lebron really cared about winning another ring things would be a lot different right now. he knows his legacy is set in stone and that the scoring record is really all he's got left to accomplish realistically

I don't even think it's about caring , he probably knows better than us he can't win anymore as the main guy or as 1B

He's just enjoying playing ball and life while making sure he's not looking like one of the main culprits of this mess .

He cared about winning for 18 years , it has to be mentally exhausting , I don't even blame him , he's just taking advantage of his incredible career

    But he's no victim either

no he could definitely still win a ring as 1B with the right sidekick. i'm pretty certain he wouldn't be taking stupid long 3s most games if this team was built like a playoff contender and AD was healthy

Last June CNBC and other media outlets reported that Lebron is a billionaire now. Combined with all the other attempts to diagnose what's wrong with this team - not just Lebron - I can't help but wonder how having that much money affects your outlook on the game.

629 points to go, as the media circus begins to build. I'm not planning to watch today's game in Orlando, which starts in about 2 hours as I write this, but for those who do, I wonder if/when Lebron scores his 29th point Bill McDonald just happens to mention he's within the nice round number of 600?

I wouldn't doubt it. 'Cuz the team is going nowhere. And the horribly irony is that, a lot of it is Lebron's fault. (re: lobbying Pelinka to get Brick, and tying up $47mil for him for just this year when that money should have been spent FAR more wisely.)

It hurts, but pulled groin hurts even more, so this season he’ll break the scoring record and get to rest more. Fair enough.

i don't get why these guys try to curate the image so much when there are digital receipts. deleting the tweet is worse than being wrong about the emotional statement.

much like (durant) creating burner accounts to support yourself is far more demeaning than either doing it yourself or just...not.
