Those numbers are unreal. And I know he gets some blame for this mess, but damn — it has to be frustrating

I kind of like to see lebron get the others involved early, save his energy for the 2nd half, it seems he is going to get his points early aiming for the scoring title

Well, LeBron didn't factored it in when he told Rob to trade for Russ. He also haven't factored it in when he signed a multiple 50+ million/year contract until his 40s.

I have no pity for LeBron. He created this situation, now he's gonna have to live with it

Right. LeBron is fine. His legacy is secure and he’s got more money than he can spend. We’re the ones stuck with a bad team for the foreseeable future.

well, from your time here, we know your answer is: 0-1 times and under even a tiny amount of dirt.

dude is clearly just gunning for the scoring title.

that's fine. get it, then broker a trade in the offseason that gets us a couple picks and out from under the 100 million we're paying to have you whine about leading us to 11th place.

edit: btw, i believe that's two consecutive games that lonnie was either benched or just stopped shooting after lebron was annoyed that lonnie took one of his bad heat check shots. so only one guy can do that? glances at FGAs in the box score...yep, checks out.

I agree, Lebron was onboard with gutting our team for Russ. He reaps what he sowed so I don't care about "wasting" his last few good years. He did that to himself. He could have just left after this season which would have been mutually beneficial for both parties from a competitive stand point but he wants to live in LA and the front office sees him as a cash cow so we are stuck in limbo.

I'm going to have a go at doing Slick looking for the good in the Westbrook experience here in the LeBron thread. Dude is a wizard at converting at the basket most of the time on driving non dunk attempts. Amazing touch both hands.

    All I got.

he played pretty well offensively yesterday. still taking bad jumpers, but he made most of them.

but contrast him with luka, who stuck with the game plan and just took the doubles and found wide open guys until they buried us.

i get that their shooters are better than ours, but honestly, not by that much. reaves and walker have been better from three than thj and bullock this year. our two went 4-8 from three combined. their two went 10-21.

lonnie got side-eyed for one of his three misses. thj got side-eyed for zero of his 8 misses.

Offensively he's still a superstar. He's risen high after a horrible start. Defensively he has nothing to offer though. He can be solid if he was surrounded by other good defenders but we don't have that luxury after the Russ trade. I can see why AD has a stress injury now though. He was having the offense run through him and completely carrying the defense on the other end. No wonder he broke down.

Yeah AD's injuries are frustrating, but his responsibility is too big for his body. He's expected to play ELITE on both ends (defensively above elite) which he might not be able to handle. We need to lessen his burden somehow.

that and lebron's also missed a ton of time as a laker, which somehow gets swept under the rug. he'll conveniently pull a hammy as soon as he locks up the scoring title by shooting a high volume of threes at 30%.

ad/bron takes up nearly almost all the cap space whatever load they have to shoulder is being handsomely rewarded....AD will get hurt even if we had gsw roster

sure. and he could miss 20 games without his team falling completely out of the playoff picture due to that roster construction/payroll.

we'd have won 4-5 more games this year if we had three good role players instead of russ, injuries or no. that has us firmly in the playoff picture and able to fight through some injuries.

anyway, it's the lebron thread--stop shooting threes, you're doing it as well as AD and russ.

Calling it: as the Lakers circle the drain, again, towards a possible play-in (if they play in it won't be fun to see them get swept in the 1st round, let's face it), the narrative around the Lakers grows, more and more, into Lebron passing Kareem.

629 points to go. Are you not entertained?

Trouble is, even after he gets the scoring record he will continue to chuck IMO so he can make his record out of reach of other players.
