I agree that the bubble ring is not a fluke but telling members to F off is not the way to prove a point.

This must be a unique fan experience in the NBA. So many fans discrediting their own accomplishment simply because LeBron was on the team when it happened. Can't imagine that happening anywhere else.

Shoeless LeBron played more defense and play make more, the team would be better off, how many shots did he chuck up at the start of the game.

LOL …. says the guy who about a week ago stated he hadn’t watched a game all season. How would you even know. There have been moments (prior to Ham and his “binkie” BevMo in the starting lineup … going Vogel / Bradley 2.0) …. where the team has played some non LeBron centric nice offensive ball and the team looked pretty good on D for awhile. Prior to injuries. So you showed up just to dump on them after the fact.

And here you are again with that s*** *** bad take that ignores it was the SAME situation for all teams, and in fact some of the favorites’ best players were stating how tough it was mentally trying to cope with it all. Plus the momentum gathering as the team was starting to gel “great” record they had before the shut down.

except it's not true. it's been documented over and over again that lebron (and AD, i guess, but...c'mon...) brokered the russ deal after rob had already come to an agreement with sac. lebron pretty much intimated as much himself before it became clear it was one of the worst trades in nba history, at which point he backpeddled like a center fielder.

yeah, now he was all in for derozan. ok. smacks of lebron watching film and knowing the truth about every good draft pick everyone's made as soon as we all know that it was a good draft pick.

and reason he lost power is the russ trade. well, that and he signed the extension. probably because he realized that he was threatening the lakers with a good time if he opted out.

edit: btw, as i recall it, he and AD courted derozan, lillard, and russ. lillard wasn't going to happen, and they picked russ.

though i still have a very hard time believing SA was going to deal with us.

    This.

Plus the AC decision was not Rob's. Jeannie did not want to pay 30million in tax to keep AC.

The Dudley decision I'm not sure about. I still wish we kept him.

Front office could have shut down the Russ trade. They did not.

All are responsible and all the finger pointing we saw from the various factions just made me long for the days when the organization could keep things in house.

It’s all moot at this point as the trade did happen and we continue to suffer for it. we still need to turn the page from it but I’m
not sure the front office will get it done.

For further proof: let's go back and look at all of his social media pages when the Russ trade was completed.

He posted a page of him and Russ smoking a cigar in celebration.

He even had a tweet in August of that summer when people criticized the roster and said "to keep that same energy," for the season. Of course he deleted it.

Rob had a trade lined up for Hield. He was going to do that deal. LBJ and AD intervened, and Russ pushed the Washington GM for a trade. It was planned.

    Period.

This conversation is so stupid; players have consistently said the Bubble it was pure basketball. No travel no groupies no distractions

The title was a triumph one of the best titles ever

Lebron was great in the 4th last night.

Lazy on D earlier but he was really good to finish the game. Shame they can't get Reaves to 38mpg

the picking and choosing when to show up is also reason why this team is constantly playing from behind n giving us the fake out with comebacks that still end up with an L

Old man has to pick his spots. He is 38 and realistically can't go hard all game. It's just the way it is so don't expect it to change. It'll only get worse.

I just wish he wasn't owed 97.1 million for two more years.

It is Iffy if that's accurate either. According to Derozan, he thought that the trade was a done deal. Those articles that talked about Lebron and AD meeting up with Russ, also said the same about Demarr and Dame. They talked to those guys 1st. It would seem that we didn't want to be hardcapped for Derozan. Or any PG on the market that summer. If we are hardcapped, we lose Tucker and Caruso. The Wizards declined the Russ trade twice, and then Rob moved on to Hield. It wasn't like Hield was Rob's choice, but he got overruled by Lebron or something.

Once we signed Kuz and Kcp to those extensions, we were going to be over the salary cap that summer, that was a known fact when we did it. We shopped them guys all season and nobody bit. The other evidence for me on Caruso, was that we declined the Lowry trade. We could have gotten off of Dennis, which would have solved the PG situation, but we didn't want to let go of Tucker. So it makes perfect sense that we chose Tucker over Caruso. I still can't blame the FO for balking over keeping Alex for a 30 million dollar cap hit tho, but it should have been Talen being allowed to walk.

The Dennis situation caused a domino effect. We gave up a 1st rd pick for him, but then let him walk for free? What really happened? IDK..he says that he never had an extension offer actually on paper to sign. I've never seen Rob say that it wasn't true, it was a bit of outrage around here, that we would even offer him 20 million. So we are over cap, don't have our starting PG signed, (actually tried to trade him ) and our two best players want some changes made. The FO agreed with that evidently, but there weren't a lot of great options on table. Trading for Hield still leaves you over the cap, and we still don't have a PG. We could have kept Dennis, but then we are paying the luxury tax for him too, and they would have still chosen Talen over Caruso. I can believe 100% ,that Lebron wanted Russ over Hield though. AD and his injury issues would have rendered it all a moot point, but Derozan would have been the best move in retrospect. Perhaps Lebron got overruled on that idea.

Perhaps "DeRozan was a viable option" is all happy horse bleep inventing stuff talk since Pop would have had to agree to a deal that didn't stick it to us and everyone knows that wasn't happening. Additionally to the DD coming for peanuts compared to what he had been making fantasy.

Why does he have to lie? What purpose does that serve him? A lot of public comments that the players make, are often dismissed, but plenty of weight is given to "nameless inside sources". Considering the options available, it's just as plausible, that we simply passed on that trade.

This is part on Lebron but he's got limitations due to age but not mentioning the lineups Ham is sticking with us doesn't paint what's happening.

These lineups are basically designed to put the Lakers in the hole
