My vote remains Black, Sacre and Upshaw just as soon as he is serviceable. Do not spend valuable cap space to bring in and lock in someone incrementally better than what those 3 can give us to make Aldridge happy. ESPECIALLY if it costs us any of our young talent. We need a deep squad. The young guns are all cost controlled at this point. He just doesn't want to play center. Mitch can Jedi mind trick him into seeing the level that Black and Upshaw and Sacre can provide in Mitch's plan.

Won't put too much into that, but nice to see our name up there again with him.

Love this. I think we're right there with SA, but they would have to do a lot to get him. We on the other hand are ready to go!

Mitch would have to put Aldridge in a smoke session with Upshaw to make him happy with that weak center rotation.

Yeah I mean maybe we can sell him on him being the one that makes us competitive. Our team needs no real shuffling to add him. The Spurs have to do a hell of a lot. There seems to be a lot of noise around Aldridge to LA.

    I'm diggin' it!

I think a lot of people count us out and think we will be down longer than we should be. Do we win it all this year with LMA? Probably not. Do we become extremely desirable if we get to the playoffs and make a tiny run? Hell yea.

It takes 1-2 big moves to get back on the map, especially in today's NBA.

To me it would make this off season phenomenal. He's the best talent out there and I'd be stoked if we could get him.

Getting Aldridge is a huge coup for us. It's not a perfect marriage but who the hell cares? Aldridge is in the discussion as one of the best PFs in the world. That'd be amazing.

No, the Wand, the Jedi mind trick and, "these ARE the centers you want". Man I don't have all my smilies from CL. I can't get the site to boot up for 2 days now. "Same as it ever was".... Talking Heads.

If we can somehow convince him that the 'modern day PF' is actually a C, and start the season with a lineup of

    D'Angelo
    Clarkson
    Kobe
    Randle
    LMA

    I think I'd faint.

So, if we landed LMA, what would you do?

    Russell/
    Clarkson/Brown/Brown
    Kobe/Young/Nance
    LMA/Randle/Kelly
    Black/Upshaw/Sacre

Move Young and add Barea and Biyombo?
    Russell/Barea
    Clarkson/Brown/Brown
    Kobe/Nance
    LMA/Randle/Kelly
    Biyombo/Black/Upshaw/Sacre

We touched it on it earlier. That starting lineup is mean. And if he doesn't like playing Center, the first rotation comes at 4 minutes and he slides up to PF with Davis or Black at C. We've got a ton of options.

Our team is literally full of role players. We can go small, big, medium, whatever you need LA. Bring talents to the City of Angels!

We have 4.6 million after adding LMA. We don't necessarily have to move Young to get Biyombo or whoever the FO wants at that price. Barea is nothing but a vet min signing for me. There will be better options for the 3 mil he wants.

I'm moving Kelly and dumping Sacre without a doubt. That would open up another 1-1.5 million.

Is it me or did you lose a "t" somewhere on the way to LB today?

Trade him for a pick to open up cap space, is my thought.

"The Los Angeles Lakers have informed Jordan Hill they will not pick up his $9 million team option, league source tells RealGM."

Well that's 9 million more and one less big on the roster. We better shake it up in FA as far as bigs. We can max LA and go after some serviceable inside-playing center.
