It's always wonderful watching a star player throw up the "neighborhood" sign.

    Good grief.

i think AD was in on it. rob went along because that's how he's made his bones thus far. he got burned, and i think everyone learned a lesson. at least so far it looks that way.

It seems our teams woes are not as much Russ's fault as we had hoped.

not fully. we lost the portland game because we employ russ. the others can't be explained away as easily.

well, actually, they can be explained easily: every single player is shooting well below their career average from distance, and it looms over every second of every game.

but yeah, it's not all russ. he still needs to be a 20-25mpg bench sparkplug, though.

This is kind of what I have saying too. We are in a huge shooting slump even for average to bad shooters. We don't have to shoot great to be successful. Average shooting we win games.

But they are. It’s because of his contract, not only his play. Having him come off the bench won’t fix this roster being awful. We have 3 max guys, one MLE guy, 2 mini MLE guys, and 11 minimums. I didn’t look, but I’m pretty sure any other team in the league with a similar roster is struggling as well, unless their 3 max guys are amazing. We will win some games if we can hit even average threes, but we’re never doing anything of note, maybe not even making the play-in, with Russ here.

    That's exactly right.

Ad without a pick. Just brutal.

You are 100% correct about his contract. I am still all in on getting rid of Russ asap if it can be done without too much damage. We still have other glaring issues but as you stated they can be addressed in the trade or maybe in some way after. I am just still a little ticked at our team for not making this a statement game. I don't believe we have twenty games to get rid of Russ and still expect any kind of a successful season. It needs to be done now.

Same for me, the quicker we can move Russ for a palatable deal the better. Not a panic trade but just something that is somewhat reasonable and fills out our roster with a couple/few good players that can start or at least be legit contributors.

Unfortunately we don’t seem to have a good trade partner at this moment. Hopefully one comes up sooner than later.

well, we have NO's pick. we just have no incentive to tank.

i kinda want to call SA myself and just beg for a richardson/mcdermott deal.

Brooklyn and 76ers have similar rosters and are struggling as well. Simmons allergic to scoring, Tobias Harris not a max player but paid like one. But they at least have 1 win so far.

This role should be his last chance. I hope his hamstring can take it

yep. step one. if he plays well, great for everyone! if not, still ok because it starts the rest of the process. continuing to start him was lunacy, imo.

Won't make any damn difference aside from letting him "lead" by chucking. Going to be a disaster regardless. The man is an imbecile. Talking about winning a genetic lottery...
