Oops edited my post as without the negative it was saying the opposite of what I wanted: I completely agree with you. I think people forget before AD went down the Lakers were handling Phoenix pretty easily

Caruso is all on Jeannie and Rob as well - blame Lebron/AD for Westbrook but they took a dumpsters worth of garbage with Westbrook and lit is on fire with that move. The smart move @abeer3 has pointed out would have been S&T Schroeder and get Nunn and Caruso but this is a cheap franchise with the most prized brand in basketball

I think this team needs a LeBron-dominant version. I don't think it's a bad thing, especially when we are shooting so badly.
It's not saying that I'm fine with him not committing to defense or bad play calls last year. Just that while we have Russ, we need at least 30ppg from James

Catch22 at his age he's needs spacing more then ever and this team provides the opposite of that

Zero sympathy for LeBron, it’s his fault Russ is here. It’s a shame he can’t be traded this season or I’d say ask him if he wants out then.

Whatever Bron. You created this sh*tstorm by trying to be player/GM. Everyone in their 2021 exit interviews except Trezz and Gasol were begging to run it back, knowing that an AD injury likely kept us from making a deep playoff run.

And so the real pressure / Lakers drama / “fire” for rookie coach Ham that @KareemtheGreat33 called yesterday …. begins. Here come the old MO on steroids, again, it sounds like …. not giving a **** for the fact it’s his fault. Uggggh!

ask out then, tough guy. i'll pack your bags. wherever you land, tell them you need westbrook to win and have them send three valuable role players back for him.

LOL. I know our ownership would not see it the same way, but it would be a blessing at this stage if LeBron left.

Yeah. I hated him, then I embraced him, now I'm just so sick of his antics and general personna. Just STFU and play. Wonder how we can't build an actual team around yours and Westbrick's contracts.

i never hated him, and i'm not sick of him, but if he's going to pressure us into laying the future to waste so that he doesn't have to miss the playoffs again just because he already forced us into the trade that caused all this...he can go.

i thought the extension meant the end of this stuff. he can't have surveyed the landscape, looked at our assets, and thought we'd just complete his third star master plan after a brief delay or something.

lol, and btw: signing a contract means you are literally taken for granted. congratulations, you granted yourself.

people certainly bought it last year. i checked out on the season much earlier, but i stopped paying attention almost entirely when it was clear lebron was just stat padding.

I'm going to build a bonfire and celebrate for a week when that SS is off our team.

If he wants to contend for a championship or just be competitive in the playoffs the simple solution is to request a trade. If not, just shut up.

As much as I hate Rob Pelinka there is nothing he can currently do that makes us a championship team. Hell at this point, I even have my doubts that trading Westbrook and the 2 FRPS for Hield/Turner (or whatever the CHA, Spurs, Utah equivalent package) would make us a competitive playoff team. We'll definitely make it in as a 7 or 8th seed, but winning the first round? Nope.

It took us 2 summers to thoroughly dismantle and hollow out a championship team. It's going to take more than 1 move (and more time) to fix all this lol.

well, one summer (the follow up team was better on paper, imo, and was pretty damn good when healthy, too). but you're right that there simply isn't a move that saves it. but i think lebron knows that.
