Lebron signed up for that after witnessing the below first hand. He's not innocent.

We’re way past the point of who is to blame. They need to fix this.

He played well enough for us to win and has started out strong along with AD.

Send him home and we make the playoffs easy without dropping to the play in

Lebron not his best game but still clearly a guy who can bring you home if not weighted down by a Brick.

AD/Lebron with Brown, Lonnie, Reaves, JTA, Bevley is fun. Get a Turner and Hield and you can potentially have the best D in the league with just enough shooting to win (ala Bubble Team)

We’re going to completely sink the franchise to scapegoat LeBron. Blame game is getting us nowhere.

    Just trade Russ.

how come no reporter ever ask him bout the russ trade? like how influential he was on that matter? Feel like bron is getting no type of accountability for this mess

I find it amazing that Bron, fresh off winning against Brick in the playoffs, could advocate for him...

hold Lebrone accountable for this mess

Westbrook is who he always was, and James wanted him.

do we blame KD any longer for wanting to leave? Leaving to GS, sure that was a b**** move, but he saw team basketball being played and wanted some of that for a change.

Blaming Lebron right now has worn out. The Lakers have to sit Westbrook. They can make that call. Whether they do it, doesn't look like it.

Yeah KD wanted team b-ball more than Lebron wants it. Good one.

not sure what you mean--what's the thing that sinks the franchise? to me, it's attaching future picks to russ to try to finish 6th. and i'm not sure anyone is scapegoating lebron at all. as others have said, he's gotten away pretty clean considering the huge part he (admittedly and at the time proudly) played in getting us here.

he's doing the right thing and just shutting up about it right now.

if we can trade russ for anything, i'm sure we will ASAP, though. at least the first few games seem likely to have bought us that. i just think teams are going to try to fleece us until the last possible moment, so russ may just have to be paid to sit at home.

Completely agree. It's clear other teams have been trying to fleece us, why should we let them?

As frustrating as RW has been, making a trade which doesn't turn the Lakers into a potential contender while also losing some of our best trade chips is just not a smart move. The only gain is to shorten the pain of having RW on our team, but at the same time we are worsening the Lakers' chances of contending in future seasons.

The Lakers may be desperate, but I would put my money on the offers improvig with the time and our counterparties becoming desperate as well. I prefer to wait and make a better trade in a few weeks than a bad one now. Even if it means this season is lost (which it probably is either way). Huge expirings have always been valuable, they should be even more so considering the number of tanking teams this season.

Just let him rot on the bench.

That's to the sentiment that we just make LeBron live with it.

My stance on the fault for the trade is pretty clear so I won't rehash it. I don't really think it matters anymore. We're here now.

I also think the organization can navigate things in a way that improves the team now and gives assets for the future. I don't think it has to be either or.

i've racked my brain for months, and i'm still of the mind that just getting off russ without giving up picks is the winning play. i'd like to keep salary from extending past next year (when lebron will probably retire or move on or at least finally not take up 40% of the cap).
