He was never going to be that here and could only spread his wings elsewhere. He did great playing the role asked of him here during our championship year, but that was holding him back and he was more valuable as a trade chip for us. We just burned that on the worst imaginable trade. I don't think the Hield trade would've been a great use of our assets either. Kuz would've been key to getting one of the guys we wanted but had no chance at -- Dame, Beal, or Spider.
just reminding the forum of the exact sentiment for the entire last year kuz played here. it was annoying, and i'm still annoyed by it.
C'mon abeer. Like Clarkson, Russell, Randle and probably Ingram, he's a guy that will always put numbers in non-winning teams. He doesn't play winning basketball, there's a bunch of guys like this. His career so far is showing it and I believe it will continue to He also played the same position as our two superstars, he was a good trade asset to use. Just too bad we used it on Russ
i mean, he's been a substantial part of a title-winning team, so i'd say he does play winning basketball. he just doesn't do so while simultaneously stat-stuffing. but my point is about perspective in general, not kuz specifically. if kuz had never played for us, people would be asking why we didn't draft him or why don't we trade for him, etc. he's a big wing!
