Rookie coach trying to fit in with veterans. Bad hire all around, I’m sure he would be decent as a developmental coach but as LeBron’s last possible coach, he is being set up to fail.

You can say what you want about his lineups, and you’d probably be right, but look at the defense he had the team playing. I’m reserving judgement on him until we have a competent roster, I didn’t actually believe they’d stick him with Russ, but they did. Hard to overcome as a coach.

He got really good effort out of them. They're bought in. My concern is how many nights will they be willing to do this for no reason? At what point are they going to get tired of Rob sitting on his hands? As the losses pile up, the effort is going to dip. Bron already looks tired of it.

Give Vogel this same group of players instead of the geriatrics and he’d get them playing defense as well.

As one of Ham's biggest supporters when hired I have to say I'm surprised he is willing to flush his reputation down the toilet for Russ. All of his talk has gone right down the drain as BS. He spent months talking about hard conversations and team first. The two losses don't bother me too much but our starting line and minute disbursement sure does. If he changes the line up now he can still save himself but just a few more games he will become a meme.

    He's fine.

I see a process here. I see what he's trying to do. I see beyond just "watching the basketball" during a game. I see clips, tape, data, etc.

He's going to be just fine.

Building up the playbook. I like it.

Which play design was miss 100 3s though?

Lol. But really as crap as our shooting was I expect Nunn and BevMo to revert more to the mean and shoot in the mid 30s from distance this season. Pat Bev looks like he’s forcing it and Nunn seems rusty after a year off. I think they will shoot better and closer to their career averages. Russ? Well I don’t expect much there.

I agree. The offense runs nice but he isn't the guy who is taking the shots. The team was constructed so poorly...my goodness.

    That's today's NBA.

Ham is running a better scheme offensively, IMO. The designs are there. The execution is rough (lack of shooting, unfamiliarity, etc) or just not there, but the schemes are very good.

It's on Rob and Ham to align their vision and get a roster that fits what they're trying to achieve; issue is Russ is here and makes $47 million.

He has to go. That's been the elephant in the room since last season concluded.

Yes, I see a method to the madness. There is effort, and there definitely seem to be plays (Felt like no system with Frank), but the execution isn't there yet.

A whole new team against mostly returning rosters is bound to get a new team looking like crap. Felt like we had no decent closer, and of course the spacing was bad since we couldn't hit the side of a barn. Too early to say, but some promising signs. I like him telling the media that doing what is needed for the team is called being a professional. If it's what we need, then it's what we need.

But I'll be more of a believer once he's coming off the bench. Until then, it's all talk.

A trade that should have been made in the offseason.

We have good schemes for the most part and we have the players to pull them off. It just isn't Russ or Bev.

These comeback lineups included players like JTA and Reaves next to LeBron and AD, with some Pat Bev thrown in. Ham has to see this..

I am going to go out on a limb and say that Ham reminds me of a more coherent Mike Brown. Not a compliment.
