I would love it if this guy could turn into our dependable spacer off the bench. He could fill Melo’s role and hopefully play better D on the other end.
He has the edge over Swider right now because he has a year under his belt. He's played over 40 games in the G-League and I think it shows. I don't think we'll keep both, but should definitely keep one.
Yeah Ryan shows he has experience in the league with the confidence he shoots the ball. Swider still looks a bit hesistant out there.
We should keep him. I wouldn't put him in the rotation but he's a guy we can use situationally, namely if our offense is not working and we can plug him in and get 3 or 4 threes in a row to reduce a big lead and change the momentum
Matt will hang his hat mostly on three point shooting but in college he could put the ball down when pressed and hit those mid range twos. Grabbed a few rebounds. He has enough all around game to not hurt us in other areas. He should only get better.
I would keep Swider on the South Bay Lakers this year. Ryan fills a need no one else on the roster can right now. If he can stay over 40% from deep, I would give him a consistent 20-24 minutes a game.
With those kind of minutes we would see his game really explode. Another really nice storyline to follow.
I agree. Keep Ryan on the roster and move Swider to G league to develop. We need shooting badly as he’s capable. Would like to see him get burn with the bench especially with Russ and Schroder.
I hate how its surprising that we add more tax… ugh. But yes his shooting is desperately needed and Swider/Christie are just not ready yet. He should be getting some reasonable mins.
