Most of them that made it to a teammate were so off. They were either behind, too low, too high. None of them were to the chest or to the hands. The bad part is I'll excuse those in a fast break, he's always been reckless with those but most of these were in a half court set. Not what you expect of someone with over 8600 career assists.

Some more lowlights from our $47 million dollar man

Didn't realize how close that ball got to Bron's face. That hits him and I think we get Russ sent home before the game is over.

    What are you doing?!

Was he this awful on defense in pre-Laker days? I get it you can cherry pick video clips to make any player look like they're lazy on D but this is not cherry-picking.
Last year he was caught ball watching or just leave his man for no good reason even in close games with a under a minute to play. Like come on WTF

he's never played up to his athletic ability on that end, for sure. he used to be better at taking one-on-one challenges (fox wouldn't have eurostep waltzed him four years ago), and that's still probably the best part of his pretty bad defense.

i guess he's a ballhawk of sorts with strong hands, but his gambles cost more than they benefit, and that ratio keeps going the wrong way.

Yeah. I think the videos are being overblown. That’s unfortunately what happens when folks are as down on you as everyone is on Russ though.

Maybe on the first huddle as we didn't see the rest. Really assailing the odds of it not being what it looked like ....the 2nd one too. But the ball watching and total obliviousness to what his man off the ball is doing is plain as day and still infuriates. What does he say for excuse in the film sessions when they show him losing his guy unacceptably too many times each game. Just curious, he must have his rationalized excuses for it that he believes where he doesn't have to do those fairly basic athleticism not as important basketball skills.

well, i think we heard that he didn't appreciate the film call-outs last year. what interests me is what he says to himself about it. it was clear from his exit interview that these things don't bother him. how? why? it would be different if, like lebron, he had several rings on his fingers and could say, "hey, my way works; i'll get it done when it matters". but he doesn't have that. just seems to believe he does?

His play is atrocious. Everything else compounds from that. Barry Bonds was a d*** and didn't give a damn about his teammates too. But he performed. So, there you go.

My goodness I can't believe how bad at defense he is. That video clip reminded me of the Soften Houston lowlights we loved to mock.

Well I expect nothing from Russ other than him sucking like he has for years now. But I don't eat to attach 2 firsts to get rid of him.

We're stuck with him for the time being.

I wonder when slick predicted Russ would “ball out” this year, he meant like that BYU runner?

Nahhh, LeBron is one of the greatest, he doesn't need touches or specific schemes to get his.
I agree he can dislike Ham's strategy but I don't see him having that type of posture because of it.
Now, I fully agree he can stop his effort on D and competitiveness if we are no good and focus on chasing the points record. That happened last year and will surely happen again if we suck.

Russ is a lost cause. Let's just hope we don't get the worse case scenario but he was awful yesterday in so many different angles

I'm disappointed in RW. I take back my bold statement that he would be a best player this year. I now have to decide between Beverly, Nunn, or Schroeder, as I don't have any faith that ledouche or Mr. Glass will be on the floor enough to qualify for that.
