Yep we have one in Burbank doing just fine after all these years with lots of well bought merchandise at decent prices stuffed into a not huge store. Outlasted Sport Chalet and competes well with R eally E xpensive I nventory.
I am actually excited to see Dennis back. He is one of the better backup PGs in the league. He can be a pesky defender and is aggressive getting at the rim.
and I'm sure the last couple of years have been a little humbling. Dude said he'd work for free to make things right, so if anything, he's in a good frame of mind for what we need.
As a Dennis critic, I did like his comments. Hopefully his second act will end up being like Dwight Howard's and he will help the team.
Interesting of him denying that he refused the 84M, denying it was offered Puts a lot of things in perspective about what runs in the media
I got the impression from that recount of what happened per him that he just didn't want to "talk" about it then so it wasn't formally offered, not that the Lakers would not have signed him for it at the time? It's what he was "eligible" to receive based on his current contract. And the Lakers wanted to discuss extending him. Playing with semantics?
I think he thought he would have more leverage waiting until the off-season and it just completely backfired
yeah, i need more info there. i often wondered if we offered the 84, but with a non-guaranteed fourth year or something, so it was closer to a 3/60, and he thought he'd get more in the summer.
He actually will be our best defensive on ball guard(quicker than Bev) and could turn out to be our second best scorer off the bench. I’m letting the past go with him and giving him a fresh start.
I remember most of the season before covid hit him and he wasn't the same in the short term coming back, that he reminded me of a faster and quicker, though smaller, Avery Bradley. Now he's quicker than late years Avery.
Having him as another ball handler behind Russ, Lebron and Nunn is reassuring. I think his defense will surprise people, he was pretty good on that end for us last time around.
he's not a great defender, but he tries and has a nose for the ball. i'm super comfortable with him as a backup pg.
Or what runs from a player's mouth, if you read what he said, he said there was no contract, there was no contract because when the Lakers brought it up as a verbal he and his people said they would rather deal with things in free agency that summer. So he's full of Sh!t, the offer was made, whether in writing or not, and he and his people passed at that time.
