I'm just talking about last years injuries. Lebron push-off twolves player who flopped into his knee and Malik Monk lob where he rolled his foot over Gobert's foot. The previous years non contact injuries were based off of being out of shape but last years were bad luck.

not sure how your response means AD isnt injury prone....bad luck is stepping on some one foot n getting hurt but if that keeps happening n injuries build up is that bad luck?

    yes.

    and...yes?

the chances of landing on a foot increase as you leave the floor. AD leaves the floor a lot. jokic never does. hence, AD gets injured, and jokic doesn't.

of course, in the playoffs, teams can pull jokic away from the basket and beat his team, but they can't do that to AD. live and die by it. but don't act like it's only die all the time. we've got a ring.

Man, I really hope we see this AD again. It’s not the shooting, or even the scoring that I mean, it’s the mentality. This has been almost gone since he won a ring, the hunger, the fire, just attacking on both ends. Instead he’s looked largely tired, even overwhelmed at times, and I hope he gets his confidence back, he’s one of the best in the game and he needs to play like he knows it

this criticism i can agree with. he started last year looking like he rolled out of bed. and i get that to some extent, but it was part of why we sucked even before he got hurt.

so while i laugh at the video game shame motivation, i do think that being largely forgotten and discounted might rekindle some fire.

edit: btw all the vogel haters should watch some of those sequences. when we had five useful players to deploy, the ball moved and we got easy shots.

This looks like pre-Covid shut down in 2020 when we were rolling and not even “peaked” for the playoffs yet. And healthy. Yet a bunch of I don’t know what to call them want to put a stupid asterisk on the Ring we won “because it was only due to the Bubble environment. And per their LeBron and AD glass half empty crystal balls know those guys 100% only remained heathy enough for the playoffs because of that stoppage in the season. Not to mention only the tightest and mentally toughest teams excelled in the Bubble and Vogel and Kidd and Handy kept that group tight and focussed. Asterisk my a**. And an infinitely better roster at that point in “those” players’ careers than what we now have no offense to Jones and Bryant and Reaves who are all great to have back. And hopefully Nunn and others blow up under this coaching staff.

I'm sure that's all the programmers took into account lol. I hope it gets easier to defend AD this year.

if the programmers took into account all stars' propensity for injury, they'd have a pretty boring game.

But then players in the 90+ range would deserve to be there. Instead of the 70's and 80's they deserve lol

This is seriously hilarious. The reason it’s funny is because it’s true!

I also love how much this gets to abeer. Bringing up Kawhi, Klay or Kevin Durant won’t make it any less so haha

AD's with the Lakers so his spotlight is huge. With or without the mocking, he's averaging 27, 10, 3, with 2 blocks and is gonna be a top 5 MVP candidate again.
