Unless it was Jokic split second reacting to Morris’s cheap shot mid court.

Pippin Jr will get test early on with a nut job guarding him in practice

    Sorry :giggle:

Never understood what happened to Shania Twain when she seemed to disappear for a few years at the height of her career until watched a Netflix special on her recently. That woman had 3 platinum 10M sold albums back to back to back … the only instance in the recording industry of it happening per the special on her. She got bitten by a tick while horseback riding and contracted Lyme disease and it wrecked her vocal chords for quite a period of time.

OK. Begrudgingly. Read it. And yep it's a really good read and explains a lot about him.

I like the trade and am happy to have him on our team as a player… I’m not sure I’m ready to try to like/get to know him as a person though lol

I may end up reading this later, but it will also be very begrudgingly :D

beverley is a great addition to this team. he always gives you 110% on both ends and he's a pest. i have zero problem with having him here despite the fact that he's been a punk a** b**** in the past

just still not a fan of what they gave up for him. his age+injury history is worrisome, but if he can miraculously stay healthy he'll play a big role. he's exactly the kind of guy you hate to play against but would love to have on your team

i read the beverley piece, and weirdly, it does nothing for me. i mean, i get that being forged in extremely tough circumstances means something. but it means a lot of things. and lots of guys have this story.

to me, it says he's willing to do anything in life (including abandon his kids after he cites his own abandonment as critically negative, i might add) to get ahead.

this is sort of why i've never been a fan. he doesn't have honor because he thinks having honor is stupid. and i get that our diverse life experiences can lead us to value this differently. but it is what it is.

i've always sided with russ vs. bevs, and i'm still there, despite what russ put us through as an organization. he's right that bevs has to color outside the lines in ways that are unsporting to make stuff happen. the puff piece tries to explain/excuse that mentality, but there are ways to compete at the highest level without being a punk.

    kobe played here.

Patrick and Austin will be a pretty nasty duo on defense. AD backing them up and Lebron watching passing lanes, we could be solid on defense. Bryant helping hold down the middle till Huff is ready...lol Enough three point shooting to keep teams honest. Kind of a slow process but we are rounding into shape.

When you have LeBron on your team Beverly has no effect on you .

Eff Pat Bev, I moved on quickly from PB and am waiting for the FO to really get something done or this is going to really be a disappointing summer. Plenty of time to talk about this guy later on.

Will always root for the team to succeed and the front of the jersey but will not root for the back of the jersey for this POS

:D I’m not happy about it. But he does bring, as multiple podcasts have put it recently, a level of “give a f***” that we severely lacked last season. I do not like him at all, and if he pulls any of that dirty crap here I’m not for it (I hate CP3 too, but pushing him in the back is a cheap shot, a sucker punch, it’s pathetic), he needs to keep that stuff in check. He does seem a perfect fit though, plays defense, rebounds, doesn’t need the ball at all to be effective, AND he’s injury prone :giggle:.
