    Sorry

I still think no way in hell he’s here for training camp. Can’t do that to team chemistry, morale, can’t do that to poor coach Ham, the fans of LA, traumatized children fans from last season, can’t do it to poor Stu Lantz or he may just retire, the list goes on and on.

God those championship mindset t-shirts are so cringe when you think about what happened last season.

There’s just no way … A) they brought Bev in to start at the 2 guard opposite Russ at PG, the midget he is …. B) and no way with the way these guys have the long history of hating each other that they expect one of them to go to the bench on top of it, pouring jet fuel on that fire. Occam’s razor prevails here as the best explanation for what’s coming, a trade of Russ … and for him to be shaving his legs with for the dress wearing days. :p

Just can’t see Russ’s ego putting up with Beverley’s personality getting into him to try to make him work hardest in areas he cares least about while taking a huge chunk of his minutes at the point. Or being on the bench as much as will be necessary to make the two of them effective in the overall scheme. Do you really see them on the floor together on offense and defense at their sizes with Russ’s severe shortcomings as a shooter and the sacrifices he would have to make on offense to the way he’s played his whole career, with the defensive effort going to be asked of him along with all the cutting and screening Ham’s been talking about? In a make or break contract year where the last thing Russ wants to be seen as is a team first “role player”, which isn’t his strength and won’t ever get him paid again.

That’s not to say impossible he’s here but it surely won’t be for lack of trying to move him while not getting screwed with unacceptably bad deals. This is a disaster waiting to happen.

Agree LT. I expect Russ to be here after all avenues of trading him have been exhausted. I will be pleasantly surprised if they find a taker. I had rather shelf him than get fleeced again. Pretty painful to give up that much for a guy and then after one season have to give up a bunch more just to get rid of him. Good news for me is I believe Ham is coming to coach basketball players not to be a high priced babysitter. His contract shows the FO is onboard with that.

Can't wait for Russ to become a .450 shooter and proving critics wrong. He'll get his TO's down to 1.5 a game and punch "dumpster guy" at least once a week. Glorious times for us Lakers fans...

I think Russ is going to ball out this season. Dude is better than a lot of you guys some to think. That roster we had sucked IMO, and our two best players played in 21 games together. It wasn't all on Westbrook.

SOS. Why don’t you try seriously addressing all of the problems detailed in last several posts? They’re real. Russ can’t just be Russ anymore. Here. Unless off the bench. Why do you think Bev is here? It’s not to start at the 2.

Meh..We aren't trying to move Russ..haven't seriously tried all offseason. Media hyping the same retread trade deals since December and making it seem like we were desperately shopping Westbrook. Don't get your hopes up LT. Yeah sure..We are not giving up 2 FRP to trade a guy!!! THAT is some "serious negotiating " LOL

Last year was last year, most of the team is gone, and the coach. I don't expect James and Davis to play in 21 games or Nunn to miss an entire season. You keep harping on what was..different situation now. I wasn't thrilled with giving up youth for Pat...but Bev is a 20-5 min player period, he's better than Avery Bradley. This isn't the smoking gun of a pending Russ trade that you think it is.

Hell...Lebron played with a dude that was creeping around with his mom. I wouldn't put too much stock into this "hate" angle.

See you can’t do even one point and explain how your guy with HIS ego is going to fall in line with whatever is asked of him that doesn’t allow him to play like he’s always wanting to play and won’t get him paid ever again like a centerpiece superstar, and have to put up with a guy whose guts he hates chirping at him daily and taking minutes from him at the PG spot with the starters.

You are not making any sense..Westbrook knows he's not Lebron or AD. You keep hyping this ego and wanting to be the man stuff. I didn't see that as the issue last season...James and Davis didn't show up to work enough to prove anything about that trio IMO. It wasn't a problem in Houston or Washington either...some of you guys just didn't like the trade and pivoted to blaming everything on Westbrook when it all went left.

I don't think Russell Westbrook cares about being a " centerpiece superstar" at this point in his career. I really

Your posts and stance on this are delusional out of some whack sense of devil’s advocacy that you alone know what’s really going on. Not what’s self evident to pretty much everyone else here and everywhere.

Don’t be deliberately dense. His ego related to all the problems stated with what’s coming at him this season with Beverley here and what is going to be expected of him to play much differently than he’s played his whole career. On his make or break “career” contract year.

Ok..so we fired Vogel, made how Russ was going to be intergrated into the game plan, a part of the HC interview process.

The HC we hired, has done all this talking about how he needs to "see Russ fail in a Darvin Ham system with Darvin Ham players"..

Lebron says that all we needed to make were some " minor" roster changes and have some good health.

AD says the big 3 never played together enough to figure anything out and Russ was unfairly blamed for that by the media and fans.

Yet..EVERYONE knows this is all some elaborate ruse. We are fevertly shopping Russ after all!! With the same damn trade idea that's been out back since Vogel was on the hot seat! lol..now it's some possible deal with Utah... IF Mitchell gets moved..Yeah.. That's the ticket!! Maybe Danny won't fleece us worse in this second trade..lol...you know...he'll probably play nice this next time around.

Man..it ain't getting done bro..Russ is going to be here..besides a brief glimmer of a Kyrie trade...it was always going to be Russ on opening night. Some of you guys are the delusional ones on this topic.

I don't see it the same way. Again..I think you don't truly appreciate how great James and Davis are as a duo. All we need Russ to do, is to go hard and hoop. We'll be just fine. Russ is 34 years old, I'm pretty sure his ego isn't what you think it is..pride yeah..gotta ton of that, but I don't think the guy views himself as " the man" especially here...he wouldn't have asked to be traded here if he did IMO.

I’ll tell you what I see with my crystal ball. If it winds up that we failed to find (not didn’t try extremely hard since the deadline this past season) a trade that was not perceived as a really getting screwed deal, again, for Russ and he’s not moved …. the way it’s going to go ultimately is he’s going to have his new agent the “buyout savant” work very hard to have that happen at the least amount of money possible given up because it won’t be made up by any other teams ever again.

Russ is going to ball out this season brother. I see the dude is out playing in pick up games!...Russell Westbrook never plays pickup ball in the summer, according to Scott Brooks. It's part of his regime to decrease his injury risk. Probably contributes to his notorious slow starts.

I think he's going to be ready to go, he's going to make an impact this season..here or somewhere else.

Hell Lebron avg 30 pts a game, could have led the League in scoring if he wanted too.

AD had the highest at the rim percentages of his career with Westbrook.

Pity we never got more than 21 games of them and Russ.

Dude avg 18pt 7 assists and 7 reb in a s*** show of a season, with a garbage roster, a coach that didn't know what to do with him, the best two players playing in 21 games together. And the prized MLE signing, never playing a single minute all season.

Brodie still has a lot left in the tank IMO. I think Darvin truly believes so too.
