could be a legitimate reason to bench Westbrook based upon defense alone. Film sessions could get really interesting with this group. Oh, and I don't even know my team any more.
There is simply no way Westbrook is on the roster after this trade -roster makes no sense from a team perspective (Brick, Beverley, and Nunn all play the same position) -They're all too small to be play SG on a consistent basis -and it's freakin Beverley and WB - if things were bad last season between Brick and the rest of the team/organization, this is like walking around Griffith Park with a flame thrower at the height of summer at full blast
Probably not. I mean, I don't really understand the trade (although Pat is a better fit than THT for many reasons) because of the Stan inclusion. Only if we're actually going to do the trade with Indy... OK, then it makes a lot of sense to me. So, Russ is either gone, or we did something really bizarre. Or let me put it another way: Russ is either gone, or we plan to sell the rights to our practices this year to be nationally televised.
I know this seems like an innocent unrelated post, but it reminds me of the video he posted when it was announced that he opted in. Similar situation where he was in a car vibing to music trying to give off the impression that he doesn’t care what anybody else thinks. I think he has to know all the discourse about him going on, so I do get a slight sense of insecure passive aggression from him in posting this.
Eff this guy and all he cost and will further cost the Lakers to acquire him and get rid of him. It's all coming back. Have been pretty quiet about him last month, knowing he may be here (prior to the Beverley trade) but a couple remarks from others and his main apologist jumping back in here to defend him in last couple days with the same tired story and excuses for what went on last year just brings it all back.
How bout the best fit to make it all work then would of course be Bev starting with LeBron because he can shoot and also play defense, and Russ to play when James not on the floor … ergo come off the bench? Yeah that’s going to work in his head.
