I think the staff overall is pretty sound but there's always room for another good mind so hopefully we find one.

Smart to lock him up given the stress every summer of other teams chasing him. Hopefully we can keep him until he gets the HC gig eventually.

I like that we are getting some bunts and singles while still looking for the home run. Adding up to a good off season and if we get the home run it all connects. If not we are at least much better off and in a good position for the future. Coach Ham is going to be a good draw for players going forward. His style of play is fun and entertaining.

Best analysis I’ve seen on the impact Ham is making and the club’s future needs.

Coach Ham is the most important off season move. When he establishes the culture he is talking about we will return to being a preferred location for top notch players. I am not really concerned with Russ or the Lebron situation. However it plays out Ham will handle it and we are going to be good. We are going to have a fun team to watch with players that are team players going forward. I am also convinced that AD's best ball is ahead of him with Ham. I like Ham's cool confidence. From a coaching perspective I have agreed with pretty much everything he has said.

Russ looks at him like he has two heads ..... LOL. Like the first time Vogel told the team he wanted the guys who rebounded the ball on defensive end to push it up court. (Do you know who I am? Don't be talking that bleep!)

    Let alone a foxhole.

BTW the family and I have been catching sights frequently of Norm Nixon past year and going forward. Granddaughter is amongst her other sporting talents enrolled in Debbie Allen Dance Academy for different types of the art and the productions she puts on each year. Norm’s still married to her and she credits him with running the business end. He comes to the door at their house sometimes when members are invited over for backyard parties. And saw him close by holding grandkid of his own at their summer production couple weeks ago, held at Crenshaw High auditorium. Debbie is heavily supported by high rollers in entertainment and society with monster prices for their up front seats for the fundraising Hot Chocolate Nutcracker she does every year. So Norm’s doing well and not having to even think about getting into fist fights.

Just their past history with Norm being shipped out so “Mag” could be PG with no hard feelings from his back court mate and Byron being the new mate …. in my convoluted way of thinking.
