Can't say how glad i am this fool isn't on our payroll again. There's hyping your guys and there's being a f***ing moron. Brown is still the latter.
i think almost every other team in the league could argue their top two players are better than those, and i'm not sure i'm exaggerating. also, what's he doing? trying to get fired after six games again? ranadive: YOU SAID YOURSELF WE HAVE THE BEST DUO!!
walks into interview: you might notice i have neither my trunks nor my briefcase, gentleman. have you heard of "the cloud"? anyway, lots of film there. these damned wizards. in the following power point presentation...
it's starting to look like brunson's going to the knicks in one of those rare moves that's bad for literally every party involved. well, i guess brunson's going to get paid, so that's good for him. but he could get paid similarly and still get to hide behind luka. ny doesn't have that...
The Utah Jazz is trading three-time DPOY Rudy Gobert to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Malik Beasley, Patrick Beverley, Walker Kessler, Jarred Vanderbilt, Leandro Bolmaro and four first-round picks, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Seriously though.. Someone’s doing s*** right in GS. They maintained all their stars.. They had to give up Porter & Payton II, but they kept Poole & Looney + added Divencenzo… That Team is deep AF
that's a large haul. Makes Minny interesting right? Adding Gobert to Towns, so that's a pretty big 'big man' tandem.
didn't see minny coming for gobert. 3 fully unprotected picks and one top-5 protected 7 years out. ainge hoping lightning strikes twice. think it's funny that it takes 4 picks and contract ballast to get gobert, but everyone insists we need to trade picks to get off westbrook.
Towns is skilled af offensively but that is a strange pairing. It can go very well but i predict the opposite, they'll suck... albeit not as much as we will
I don't know. The Wolves won 46 games last season. Russell, Edwards, and Towns were on the four most commong lineups last season. Three of them were big winners when on the court (+107 in 430 minutes, -13 in 152, +31 in 103, and +33 in 102). For what it's worth, Beverly was in only one of those. Not sure how much it matters either, but ESPN's trade machine think the trade gives +5 wins to the Wolves. I know the Wolves are all in. I'm not sure they're very close to a ring, but they're a better team. They're currently 13th in championship odds. There are also rumors they'll try to move Russ to bring in defense and depth. lol - there's time to make some moves still!
curious to see how important beverley's attitude was to the wolves. feel like (as annoying and overrated he is) he brought an edge that their primary guys just don't have. and i don't think gobert has it. but i do think that gobert/towns can work because towns is such a good shooter. defensively, i'd try to make towns move on the perimeter, and i think teams will get some clean three looks against them. maybe a lot. good experiment, though.
we were talking about simmons in another thread, and it still sort of baffles me that the video above is why we're where we are with that guy. yes, he had a shot, but i could easily see why he thought he didn't. he had bobbled the ball, and you'd expect that the defender would have still been pursuing from behind. meanwhile, you have a cutter coming toward you with nothing between him and the rim. instead, your defender was so slow to recover that he became available to help, so it looks like you pass out of a dunk and into a double team. this kind of stuff happens. as does a non-shooter not shooting much down the stretch in games. so weird that a full book got written on a player for a play or series of plays in a single game. this guy was an allstar, all-defense guy. just super bizarre to me.
He also had 3 shot attempts in Q4 of all 7 matches that series. 0 in the last 4 games. Attempts That was the tipping point, he really underperformed. But Jo and Docreally handled it bad after that. Now that I'm thinking of it, maybe he was a d***head all season and didn't listen to both, maybe he was arrogant and after losing that series they just lost it. I think it all depends how he responds this season. He'll win that feud if he's an all-star again
eh, doc and embiid lost me when they threw him under the bus. not surprising at all, both of those are me-first dudes, all the way.
