word is that he's likely to play and the injury "isn't serious", but it was serious enough that he sat out a half of a pivotal game that they nearly lost due to his absence. anyway, i hope he's right. would like to see miami take boston out. as much as i really don't have a big issue with boston now (other than history/laundry), the press fawning over them has been a bit grating. you'd think we were watching some juggernaut the way they wax poetic about them. they're just dallas east.
honestly, the mavs are the team i want to win the most (part of it is that i'm half a mavs fan, but they're also the best story). but yeah, gs is the best of the rest in terms of rootability.
not happening, but dallas has home court vs boston if they advance, i think. and they could beat them. luka would be the best player in the series.
Warriors will win the title as it's the most versatile team both defensively and offensively ... and they have HCA over C Bags and Heat Hope we'll get a good Finals series , these conference finals kind of suck
Nobody even mentions the dunk from Wiggins? Crazy. Dallas is no match for GS. Think Boston wins tonight. That series will likely go 7.
Yeah, that dunk was nasty. Didn't want to talk about the game because I didn't want to acknowledge GS is going to sweep this thing. The slow-mo on that... yikes!
i really think the dunk was much less "on luka" than is being advertised. if you look at the dead on angle, it was next to him, not over him. i'm much more impressed with dunks that occur while the other guy's body is still in front of you. also dunks over bigs/shot blockers as opposed to people your size or smaller and not known as shot blockers. pippen on ewing is a great example, imo. nasty. wiggins just got a lane and threw it down, imo.
"Riggin' for Wiggins" tanking mantra back in the day ... finally comes of age. Took Warriors staff to take him to his best level yet.
yes, though slight loss of points because howard (weirdly) didn't jump. impressive, though. again, wiggins had a clear path to the bucket and a non-shot blocker trying to slide over late. kobe had a shotblocker waiting directly in his path. just a more impressive play. wiggins threw down an impressive dunk near doncic, not on him.
kobe had a bunch like that. i remember one on drob and one emeka okafor. the okafor one was great because he apparently called his shot in the timeout just prior, iirc.
yeah, to me, folks get "dunked on" fairly rarely, which is why the hoopla about wiggins's essentially wide open dunk confounds me. what's that one from anthony edwards earlier this year? just utter destruction. not in the same ballpark here.
