Man, these Pelicans are feisty. I love they don't back down to CP or Crowder physically. The rooks don't respect PHO at all... it's great. Conceptually I'm against them moving Zion because they're small market and struggle to get names. More importantly they won't get value because he's on his rookie deal. But I don't think he fits with their style or culture. They'd be better with someone like Jerami Grant in the fold. Dump Graham (bad contract) and Zion for Grant, one of Detroit's kids, and picks.
Yeah you know what, I don’t hate David Stern after all, he saved me from having to root for this chump piece of crap
I loved how Herb hit CP 2x on that play and the refs didn't call a foul on either. I still think we should retire Rondo's jersey for the bubble play and more importantly spitting in CP's face
Yeah, well, most of you wanted Russ and were excited to have him. Go back to the first page of his thread.
These playoffs have gotten interesting, a lot of my early predictions haven't panned out (due in part to injuries too). Is this the most competitive the playoffs have been in some time?
70 to 75 percent of peeps were excited. Re-read the first page. My point is: peeps can complain about Paul all the want. I'd rather deal with his incessant whining to the refs and dirty plays than watch WB shoot bricks.
He'll probably get overpaid this summer. But Mavs passed on locking him up on a 4 year deal costing them under $14m a year. Carrying him until he's 29-30. Even if they didn't want to keep him, that's a good cost controlled trade asset.
Depends on what you consider competitive. Every series in the East is a joke this round. They'll get interesting next round and you have three teams with a good chance to rep the East (Cs, Heat, Bucks). West is close, excluding the GS series. But I don't think any of them have a snowballs chance against GS as long as they stay healthy-ish.
i think it was probably about a) him not looking quite this good at that point (which is why they came to the table in january) and b) them having just locked up hardaway to an overpay. but they have no choice now, so he's going to get the big offer. guessing cuban will offer the four year max with a partial guarantee on the 5th year just to ward off competitors. he got burned on the nash deal those many years ago, and i imagine he's not interested in repeating it with luka's future at stake.
