I think that’s a BS article. You can’t have a conversation if the other person isn’t listening. It’s like talking to yourself. It’s been reported that coaches have had talks with Russ during the year.

To be honest this has been repeated all season but I didn't see anyone effectively stopping the Russ/AD P&R. AD had some of his best paint production and at the rim numbers in the NBA until he went down. What we were missing was Lebron during that time.

Russ disrespecting Frank came at no surprise for me.

Frank never had leverage and Russ just made it worst.

If Russ was a rookie and he played like how he did this season he wouldn’t be in the league.

How was it BS when Vogel was directly quoted responding to it? He repeated the same thing in his exit interview. Nobody has refuted it at all. If he was making s*** up, someone would have called him on it. That's a bad look on the staff regardless of your personal opinion of Westbrook.

Frank played his part in the situation too. Disrespected him by saying..Give me the ball, I'm the point guard? That's some petty crap, not even worth throwing out there IMO. Most point guards would have said the same thing. He wasn't no damn rookie, he's a 1st ballot Hall of Famer. Respect goes both ways.

Players have said for years that Vogel is great at communicating and talking to players about their role. Am I to believe this only applies to players not name Russell Westbrook? I think I’ll take years of actual quotes from other players than an article.

Thats fine, just have AD seal the big deep in the paint and then Westbrook can take a few steps into a post up against the guard. We got the spacing right and performed this plenty to end the season.

If the big helps out, AD is alone at the bucket and if someone helps against AD rotate it to Lebron or a shooter. Everyone makes it seem like it’s impossible to make Russ work in an offence - it’s not.

Not to mention when there is a "propensity" for Russ to do this (he did this in Houston) where he basically went to management and did the same thing.

Perhaps you should actually read what Frank had to say about the subject, than alluding to what he may or may not have done some other time.

What did he do in Houston? Specifically what are you talking about?

I watched 75% of our games but after the all star game I stopped tuning in when the team tuned out.

His defence was rubbish, as was Lebron’s and quite a lot of the teams. But I don’t agree that he was selfish, you won’t find a teammate that talks bad about Westbrook. Labelling him as selfish is our opinions from the outside looking in.

We did play quite a bit of the AD and Russ pnr and then he got injured and then we went full Lebron offence.

Vogel is great at communicating, but I don’t think he wanted Russ and I don’t think he knew what to do with him at all. He did encourage him and backed him the whole way. But I don’t think he really made a role for him offensively.

hard to create a role for a guy who doesn't fit in with the roster

russ had success in the past when paired with an outside shooter. he didn't have that in LA and instead played alongside another guy who needs the ball in his hands at all times. no wonder it didn't work

What’s the point of still talking about this bum?
He’s not going to be a Laker come training camp.

    I disagree

That type of attitude can change the whole morale of the team and chain of command.

That’s straight disrespect it was already seen that Vogel had no real leverage or respect with the team and that coming from a vet PG is terrible.

Vogel wasn’t disrespecting Russ, I don’t think he has the balls nor is it in his nature. The thing is he isn’t a point guard, all in but name only.

Russ isn’t going to change and he’s inefficient. That’s a fast track to retirement and getting black balled from the league.

With all that said I hope Russ can just be one bad nightmare we never experience again.

Lol I’ll jump in joy if he turns down his player option.
