What? That's actually happening? Or is it an April's fools joke?

I love how some of these guys who still back Russ, completely disregard one of the most important factors that makes a TEAM great: defense.

    fify.

look, i can't average a triple double every night unless everybody gets in line and works for my glory. sorry. that's on them. also: they need to defend, i think. i'm not sure. i don't know what it is. other than nobody gets to post me up.

Westbrook for Randle and Fournier: who says no?
This actually doesn't seem that unrealistic: those are some bad contracts

God I hate Westbrook, I'd dump him for a bag of Cheetos but I think teams value rightfully the Cheetos more

Wasn’t one of the main reasons Randle left because he didn’t want to play with LeBron?

Well no one wants to play with Randle right now and that is a good move for the Knicks: Build around Barrett who is going to get a big contract and you free up cap space to hopefully get a good FA if you do well in the lottery.

Didn't really think about them before but NY makes a lot of sense as a trade partner: they're capped out and at best a marginal playoff team. I'm not a huge fan of Randle or Fornier but they immediately upgrade the talent level around AD/Lebron. Sad part is that I still thin Lebron and AD are such a good duo that even getting a marginal upgrade in talent (WHICH FITS UNLIKE WESTBROOK) makes this team a title contender again

Randle is basically the PF version of Westbrook. Him/Lebron/AD frontcourt = yuck. I'm glad he was off the team in 2018 but I wish we managed him as an asset better and got something in return

Obviously Russ listens to the crowd, otherwise he wouldn’t hear fans calling him Westbrick.

Let this be a life lesson for everyone here. Even that lover of himself Colin Cowherd says something that hits perfectly sometimes. He said don't watch what people say, watch what they DO. And you will find that people will contradict themselves in the same discussion, sometimes in the same sentence.

Most people are full of s***. It's just how we have been programmed. We are programmed to act. To be things we aren't and when someone gets called out on it or light is shed on something negative to them, it's right away a defensive response.

People have opinions and most opinions are useless. That's why social media gets bad is because we have let everyday folks, who are mainly mental midgets where it matters, speak in areas they have no credibility in. It's just them mouthing off. If jokes could be handled like they used to, it wouldn't be bad. But because people have weak constitutions, they get offended like little children and then it creates a firestorm.

So, in the subject of Russell Westbrook, his entire season has sucked because he has let the crowd ruin him. The proof is in the pudding and it's obvious he can't handle the noise. He is better on teams with no pressure. Some can handle it and some can't. He can't. That's life. No matter how much he tries to deny it.

Randle is a terrible fit. To play alongside AD and LeBron you need to:
    - shoot very well
    - don't need the ball in your hands
    - defend at a high clip
    - do the dirty work

Randle doesn't check any box. Like Westbrook. That's also why Kuzma didn't fit. But Caruso fit. And KCP.
Especially a forward to play with AD really needs to be physical in his play because AD avoids going to that type of game. That's why Markieff fit like a glove. Or Howard/McGee.

I wouldn't do that deal for Randle

I’m not big on adding Randle either. However, both KCP and Kuz were very streaky shooters. Kenny got hot at the right time in the Bubble, but couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn all last season. Kuz started out being a poor defender, but in the Bubble, he turned himself into a decent one, as well as a good rebounder.
I completely agree about adding a guy like Kief- he was such a great fit next to AD and LeGM. Just like many of the other decisions made over the past two summers, I don’t get why they chose to let him go.
