booker and tatum? they're a tier below. booker on the strength of 10 games, too? jokic and giannis are the easy picks for me. had luka not shown up out of shape, he'd be further up my list. denver (and dallas) have no business being as good as they are, imo, and it's on the strength of absolute superstars who play the right way. milwaukee without giannis is a 12th place team or worse. embiid's got a reasonable argument, too, but i don't like him.
I vote for Jokic. Hes been the most consistent all season and if he’s off that team, they’d be bottom of the barrel.
C Bags lose robert williams for a few weeks: "omg their title hopes are ruined. such a shame. such a well-built team that was definitely going to win it" lakers lose AD for half a season and lebron for a quarter of it: "hahaha lakers r so bad at everything!"
The ONLY way you should get a flagrant call against Grayson is if you shot him with a shot gun and hit his whole family along with him. Then it would only be a flagrant 1.
thought this was interesting from the ringer's kd piece, talking about his relationship with the media and whether they should be in the locker room: was something i hadn't ever considered. i wonder if others agree with him. it makes sense, though--feeling watched vs. feeling engaged.
6 legit MVP Candidates....Tatum, Booker, Embiid, Jokic, Luka and Giannis. I think Embiid's MVP profile is slippin with the recent losses. This Embiid year reminds me of the 2010/2011 Knicks. Amare and the Knicks were a pretty good team and then they got Carmelo who screwed up his MVP chances and the team was not the same. Derozan had a great case for MVP in the 1st half but injury and losses have hurt his 2nd half. This league belongs to this guy now Durant got worked by him
i like how people just randomly forget about giannis because he plays in milwaukee. until he goes all pg-shaq on your team and you're helpless.
i mean, couldn't happen to a nicer guy and all, but yeah...this is philly/doc/morey/embiid culture. very curious to see how it all plays out when you've got multiple guys with serious media credibility that just LOVE throwing everyone else under the bus.
giannis sitting against the clippers. i'm sure the story will be about lue's brilliant adjustments. "see...what i did is i recognized that the league's mvp and fire-breathing dragon was in streetclothes...so i attacked his loser brother--none of you would have thought of this--i also called for luke kennard to hit three stepback threes...just had a feeling. it's like being at the poker table. you wouldn't understand. you've never lost 18 straight games." --tyronn lue, hof coach
covington's streakiness is crazy. i'd have to look at his numbers, but it feels like he's feast or famine. anyway, would be cool to have 12 players making 10 million+ around two stars instead of 2 stars, an albatross, and vet mins.
That didn't take long. Just keep your a** away from the Lakers. I'd rather have nearly anyone over Doc. Doc or MDA are the nightmare scenarios for me.
