I would sit Westbrick - as that is now his Official Name (TM) - for two straight games after that.
If things are gonna be Complete Sh*T, may as well make it a show.

This is the mentality most of our team has had all season, and it’s part of why we suck so bad. They take every bad team lightly, they walk into every game thinking they just deserve to win because on paper they have the big names. Even they proceed to get beat by teams with players I’ve never heard of because of that attitude. I cannot wait until this guy is gone, his mentality is insulting to the legacy of the Lakers and all the greats that came before him.

I'd play him all 48 minutes and give him the ball every possession.

Anybody see the way Karl Anthony Towns played defense against Russ in the 4th quarter around 3 minutes left? So Lakers were playing small ball with no true center out there. Lakers inbounds the ball and who guards the PG? KAT is guarding Russ. Russ has the ball and KAT was sagging off him and wasn't in a defensive stance. Just stood tall and look like he was telling Russ "C'mon, I give you a free shot".

From the Russ quote on Twitter, above:
"The trash talking doesn't bother me none. Nobody over there has done anything in this league.”

I suspect no reporter reminded him he doesn't have a ring, either. I would've liked to see it.

So you're a reporter and you say it, prefacing, "With all due respect...": now Westbrick hates you. As if he ever liked any reporter, ever.

Yeah man. I mean all meme pages are mocking him right now with videos of Pat and KAT.
That's f disrespectful what they did. But they only did it because Russ gave them fuel and put himself in such a position. I would put 50 in those mfers if they disrespect me like that. It's much worse then being called Westbrick by random people.
If this disrespect (from PLAYERS, not fans) doesn't fuel him, nobody will. He's completely finished.

God, I would really like Kobe to be here to explain what the hell he saw on this guy

We never had a shot at drafting high enough for Cousins. Wasn’t that the year we drafted Derrick Caracter (sp?) and were hoping he could be Cousins lite? As far as Paul George …. are you saying we passed over him in the draft?

From what I recall anyway w/o looking them up.

Not us, the Wolves actually called Kobe because Wesley Johnson works out with him pre draft and got burned with Kobe’s talent evaluation:Laugh:

I wanna feel bad for him, he's had a great career and he's never done anything off the court or on the court that was rapacious which people seem to blow off for fan favorites (here's looking at you J. Kidd and Ben Roethlisburger).

That being said the whole go "all out" persona he's cultivated just pisses me off as the dude gives such little effort on Defense and boxing out. It's infected the whole team and this team doesn't have a lot of talent right now. Yes it's in large part to him being a shell of his former shelf but this team looks like it's going to get beaten down unless Lebron goes for 50.

Honestly, not sure how he's not benched - just the effort on D, off the ball, boxing out. It's excruciating to watch

Jesus I stopped watching by this point. Among the many other things team lacks (that the title team had) was an enforcer type.

Congrats Russ! You got one that mattered.

Maybe the momentum from that shot will make you less of a joy kill for these final games.

Kind of disturbing that if he plays like this which he was doing last year with the Wizards this team would be a solid contender with AD. Again this wasn't an MVP or even All-NBA team level of performance but maybe an borderline All-star type of performance and this team would have bee fine?

And there were even plenty of bad Russisms in this one. Missed layups, egregious turnovers, ill timed shots; but the key is for the good to outweigh the bad. In tonight's case it was 4-7 from 3, a HUGE steal, and a shot to send it to OT.

He needs to keep track of live stats and figure out for that particular game IN REAL TIME how to contribute good that is louder than the pass into the stands, the airball 3, the blown layup, or missed D assignment.

That's what's frustrating with Russ. He can do it. He just refuses to on a nightly basis. He had that one stretch of 10 games or so where he looked like he was figuring it out, but that was over 3 months ago.

If there was ever a teammate who could help him transition from superstar to super role player, it's Melo. He's lived it and can tell him better than anyone what happens if he doesn't change. Only the league won't be rallying to get Russ back in the league. Russ doesn't want to listen to anyone. Bron, Melo, or the coaches. Unfortunately I think the only person who could get through to that thick head is no longer with us and that's Kobe.

Clutch steal and three to bring it to OT. Way to keep fighting tonight Russ. This was the guy I’ve been hoping for all year.
