Again it makes no sense to move AD unless he is asking to be traded which I don’t think happens. I don’t want to trade Lebron either. Just trade Russ in the summer if possible. And go from there.

I have three great trades in mind for LeBron, AD, and Westbrook. They would actually have us contending next year and be flush with pics for the next decade.

Sadly I don’t care enough to post it or put out the effort. I think I have a case of the lebrons.

Lebron has AD on the team locked up for the next 2 years and he's still unhappy. I don't think Lebron believes in AD anymore as a superstar to help him win a title. The Westbrook trade was definitely a signal to that line of thinking

You're acting like what we're saying is that he's Westbrook and we need to get rid of him.
It's not like that. It's just that we should be aware of potential superstars that may want out and capitalize that momentum.
We should be the sellers in this deal, not the other way around.

It's also unfair to do a straight comparison with other players because he is a top5 player in the league when playing full potential. So you can't on a vaccum sell a 1 for 1 trade with a top25. The problem is that he hasn't been playing consistently the last 2 years so even a top30 player who plays would give us a better record than half-AD.

Let's see during the summer if some pieces start to move and reassess. I just think it would be smart for our organization to have this in mind and the moves they make moving forward is not thinking in having AD for another max (until 27/28?).

    i'm dubious.

    1. no guarantee this player plays more than AD.
    2. no guarantee this player is available for AD. most teams keep their best player out of trade talks, even for stars. philly wasn't discussing moving embiid for harden, for example. hell, boston held tatum out of AD conversations before he moved to us. so a lot of the top 30 guys are already off the table.

are you saying that having say, andrew wiggins and two future 1sts, is preferable and would lead to better long and short term outcomes?

    khris middleton and 3 1sts?

Well that point 1 is pointless no? No one can guarantee anything. But recent data shows AD is struggling to be fit through a season which cost us 2 seasons of an aging Lebron, while AD should be MVP.

Point 2. That's why I'm saying we are the sellers. One of those players need to be in the market or near and then we create the narrative for that trade to happen.

As for the rest, I know what you doing and I won't bite. AD was traded for Ingram, Lonzo, Hart and 3 1st round picks (being one the #4 confirmed). So let's keep the conversation real please

This season regardless of how many times it's spun as "injury prone" and ignored to make that argument against AD .... 2 severe s*** happens basketball injuries. Especially for a big player like AD who is as mobile and able to play above the rim as AD, which is why he's so valuable.

You’ve got zero guarantee with a lesser player with same types of injuries. Nice crapshoot gamble.

    don't bother.

AD is too fragile to keep, so we need to trade him for the same package that got him when he was less fragile and three years younger. i think? the same package that finished worse than we will with injured AD at that.

i can't figure out the thing that people actually want, tbh.

As I said before, AD body language in the floor is an injury about to happen. He can't take a hit. He's limping every game. He falls down every time he's touched. He has a body and health system prone to injuries. He can't stand what other players can. It is what it is.

I just think that there other superstars more consistent that gives us more chances moving forward. We should at least be aware and ready to act if there's an opening on that front
