    Vlade wanted all our picks, Randle, and Clarkson? :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

We're countering with the #2 or #2/Clarkson for Cousins/#6 (an educated guess on the last bit since it says "reluctant")

    I love it.

The reporting on this is getting desperate and moronic, I think it's true, because it is starting to sink in that the Lakers are back at least at a competitive level, just like that. Thanks to the great pickup of Randle and Clarkson last year, Mitch's work with the Lin trade and first round pick and the basketball gods and karma smiling on us with the number 2 pick this year, of all years, with a franchise CENTER coming out that team picking 1st reportedly is not going to draft..... after the expertly executed tank of 2015 that no one can b***h about, like they are with Philadelphia.... pulled off by Byron Scott. My head is going to explode before tomorrow night I'm so excited. Just give me Okafor. The Lakers will put an end to the small ball craze in a hurry when our fast, skilled, "bullying" BIG men start wreaking havoc on the league. Previews of what's coming start in a couple of weeks. Not saying we are contending for a title or WCF next year, but look out in the first round.

I swear Mitch is going to end this offseason with 3 out of the 4 of Cousins / Love / Wade / Rondo, while keeping Randle/Clarkson.

Mitch has to be very careful here. The Kings are going to try to bleed the Lakers dry, knowing that Jim wants to land a star. Mitch needs to be completely willing to back away and say "no thanks". Randle/JC/Okafor is a great core to build around, no reason to sacrifice all that.

The most I would pay right now...2/27/JC for Cousins/6, although that doesn't sound like the deal with Den involved.

Some of you guys don't want Boogie at all? Not even just for the #2 pick straight up?

Force the trade DMC. At least we won't get boned and have to give up JC or Randle for you.

Without a doubt. I don't think we can just toss together a contender in one offseason. Hell we didn't do that with a pretty loaded team by adding Shaq and Kobe in one offseason. It took a few.... and one thing is for sure. Cousins is no Shaq. I should probably be banned for even putting that in the same sentence.

That's how Mitch works though, it's what we always do. Go big or bust.

Wow, I'm reading through the NBA subreddit (filled with fans of every team) and there's such a huge disconnect between us.

Most of them are pissed off because they think we'd be getting a steal by getting Cousins for #2, Randle, and Clarkson.

So... if you're Okafor what does this say to you? OK.... we'll take you after we tried to trade half our assets for a clown like Cousins. Not good even if we don't make the trade now it seems.

like that randle's completely off the table. don't like that Clarkson's only a "reluctant".

quite frankly, the 2 alone should be enough for cousins. if they're getting Clarkson, I want the 6. and I'm still not feeling great about it. cousins is a transcendent talent--likely better than any pick in this draft based purely on ability--but at this point, you have to say he's a bona fide headcase. low money deal or not, that's a lot to take on whilst giving up a shot at a guy who could eventually be similarly productive and isn't crazy.

Lets say we "steal" cousins what does our lineup look like?

    ?
    Kobe
    ?
    Landry
    Cousins

    Bench
    Young/sacre/j brown

We'd only have 11-12 mil to spend

Were not winning crap with a 37 yr old kobe a malcontent cousins and landry as our 3rd option NO WAY.

When u see it like that the trade aint a steal at all

I wouldn't do the trade based on the principle that i hate the queens and would hate to play a big part in their rebuilding efforts
