Russell Westbrick Discussion: Clipper Gonna Clip

They have been picking and choosing which games to give effort in all season long.

 

i feel exactly the same way after watching 2-3 games in the regular season. My worst fears just continued.

He made the wrong plays at the wrong times, so many times in crunch/clutch times or even momentum changing times where you might be down but we scored a couple but he just does so way out stuff like pull up from 3, that 15 ft mid range that he bricks off the back board, or when he posts up and backs down from the freethow line.






Man I cannot say because I didn’t religiously watch Detroit and Memphis games when AI was clamoring to start. But I know AI wasn’t averaging these turnovers , can’t complete simple passes to the post, nor have awareness of our offensive rhythm.


He’s paid 44 mil and he did what Dwight did earlier in his career. With this much talent and especially our age easy buckets should be our goal. We got players that got 10,000 plus points.

Russ is out there for Russ, even if he doesn’t realize it. The man lives in delusion and is self centered.


Like him being out there was going to do anything in the last minutes of the bucks game.


There were so many momentum/2nd momentum shots, clutch shots that literally dictated the out come of the game and it’s all bone head plays.

 

I feel he played great on offense. Might have had some lapses on D but this was how he needs to play in our offense.

 

Russell actually looked tradable today.

yeah, it looks like we're stuck with russ for next year, at least, so let's use the last 20 games to figure out what the team can do to be more successful next year. try everything. who cares if you drop some games in the interim. the season is over.

 

Looks more engaged. He's staying focused more defensively. There's been more good than bad in his past two games against top tier teams. Mistakes and bone head plays are down. We can only hope it's a sign of a turn and the path forward.

 

Possibly stuck.

I'm okay with whatever results.

Looking forward to next season

Russell Westbrook very bluntly said he thinks opponents scouting report is just to play harder than the Lakers. "And it’s working. Until we determine and have the determination that we’re not gonna allow it, especially on our home floor, it will continue to happen to us."
