    Trading for him tanked the season before it even started, I can’t believe I was ever positive on it. Only a couple people called it from day 1, like Juronimo, you were on it man.

    See I can do "LeBron" just as well as he does... I too, have an eye for talent. Or in this case, lack thereof.

    lol, i had to go back and see what i said:

    i do like westbrook, and rooting for him to do well has been easy. watching him hasn't been.

    i think i was appropriately wary of the trade, though. zen and juronimo and wcsoldier were clearly anti- from the get-go.

    i was concerned we emptied out our very few wings with any size and lacked defenders on the perimeter, and that freaking checks out.

    The bar has dropped so low it's getting uncomfortable.

    If salaries matched, I would literally trade Russ for just Caruso. That's sad as hell.

    Looking back at my comment, I definitely don't think we made the best follow up moves possible, but I'm starting to think regardless what we did he would hold us back too much to truly win. Which is crazy to say.

    i remember being worried about how to build a roster around our three stars. when we went for two brute centers, i got more worried, and when we couldn't get a big wing aside from ariza, i was more worried. these worries were well-placed.

    i think some of us wanted jeff green, and boy, in retrospect, that might have helped. but again, it's pretty clear now that the russ move kind of doomed everything.

    the only way out now is him accepting a bench role and re-signing at a lower salary. this frees us up to plug some gaps by other means and reduces his negative influence on the court. i don't know that he has this in him right now, though.

    i actually feel bad for russ in all this. just a terrible way to come home and play.

    Ego. They literally watched it not work as we figured Russ out in the bubble playoffs and beat Houston easily in 5 games, but they said to themselves, nahhh that’s not us, WE’LL be the ones to make it work. That’s ego. I’d kill to have Kuz, KCP, and Caruso back right now.
