Some of the shots he takes might as well be turnovers

Yeah. There were other bad plays but I I think that one was officially it for me and Russ.

He's clearly exhausted, mentally and physically.. he still penetrates fine but he has nothing in his hops and can't finish.. which apparently he already had issues with in his prime.

He needs less minutes, less stress and we need a real point guard who doesn't chuck and panic. I'd rather try to feed Russ cutting to the rim than have him controlling the rock.. he's terrible.

Basically, he needs Nunn to come back and relieve the pressure.

“For me, I don't point fingers. I always look at myself for ways to become better."

Russ how absolutely clueless were you last night, in that case with what you’re saying above, to not get the ball to either Reaves or Monk who were on fire instead of shooting it yourself and killing not one but 2 rallies in crunch time. I didn’t see him interview and from that quote he clearly doesn’t understand what he did. A real honest to god basketball moron to not get the ball to either one of 2 shooters who were both scorching hot …. because why … it was your turn to shoot???

Just kill me: first of all he just dribbled the air out of the ball when the team is down 4 but he still had 8 seconds left. Looks like they were ready to setup a Monk 2 man game with Russ to salvage the possession. Monk is on the high side so the idea is probably Russ drives goes around Monk: Monk's gravity will then open up things for Russ's drive if he rolls to the corner and if they don't that will give Monk a chance to be open

Yep: to put it more realistically, we need Nunn so we can sit Westbrook.
I'm not sure we can trade Nunn/THT for Grant which I've favored anymore as Westbrook has become a net negative - he needs his minutes reduced and benched in the finishing lineup

State of the Lakers podcast made a good point - the Kings put Harrison Barnes on Westbrook which basically takes away his ability to overpower smaller guards. Without that he's literally got no option at that point in the halfcourt.

Not sure what sort of adjustment you can make to counter that

I’ve been on this bandwagon since like preseason haha. I’ve said before I’d trade him for cash considerations, addition by subtraction. He makes my favorite team unwatchable.

That explains why his usage was only 18%. They're a bad team that's uniquely constructed to gives us issues. Lebron has been inefficient all three times he's played them.
