Not surprised they are overvaluing, although I hope they don't get desperate and "settle".

Why would we give up the only bright side of these past 2 atrocious seasons for Cousins when there are better big man options available in free agency. If we're really not blown away by Okafor, go all in for Gasol and then use the #2 on Russell.

But I think/hope that at the end of the day we draft Okafor and try to get a wing in free agency.

I just saw that... This is where the reports of Gay come into play too because the contract situation get sticky in about 8 days for Faried. He's technically worth whatever his contract extension was 12 or 14 million or whatever. To make it work, they'd have to include Gay which just means the Kings are going to blow up their roster for Ty Lawson and Kenneth Faried...

    Crazy.

Gilbert should call them and offer Bron and Irving. Maybe they'll bite.

So unless we get a third team (Nuggets), there is most likely no deal for us. Good.

Divac or anyone denying it really doesn't hold much credibility with me.

Well Divac is VP of basketball operations (aka the same thing Jim Buss is) so his opinion is pretty important.

Sure he could be telling the true, but most of the time executives will lie.

Wow. This just in. Sounds like Karl is the bad news with many of his teams or star players. We all wondered why Denver fired him with that 50 win season he'd just had if I recall. Maybe this kind of bad vibe going on in his clubhouse because of him?

Melo, JR, Iggy, now Cousins all tweeted the same thing about George Karl in recent years
    WRITTEN BY KEVIN O'BRIEN POSTED: 06/23/2015, 08:28AM

Last night the news broke that Sacramento coach George Karl has been pushing for the Kings to trade DeMarcus Cousins.

DeMarcus Cousins responds to trade rumors and George Karl
Cousins posted a fiery response on Twitter, an emoji representation of a snake in the grass.

This isn’t the first time an NBA star made this accusation towards Karl on Twitter.

While Karl was in charge of the Denver Nuggets, a long saga ensued, known as The Melodrama, before Carmelo Anthony was eventually traded to the New York Knicks.

Almost immediately, Karl got passive-aggressive in the media, calling into question Anthony’s defensive effort and wondering if it’d improve in New York.

Melo hit back on social media.

WHEN THE GRASS IS CUT THE SNAKES WILL SHOW.

    8:34 PM - 24 Feb 2011

In 2013, Karl called Andre Iguodala a “mole” in the Warriors camp during their playoffs.

    Iguodala dropped this tweet.

    When the grass is cut...

    8:37 PM - 14 May 2014

Former Nuggets point guard Ty Lawson also once tweeted about snakes. Nobody’s really sure why.

Tooo many snakes in the field
    4:27 PM - 12 Jul 2012

JR Smith, a whipping boy of Karl’s at the Nuggets, posted his tweet just months after Anthony left for the Knicks. Smith followed to New York a year later.

    JR Smith

    ✔@TheRealJRSmith

To many snakes in the grass got to get the lawn kut!

And now Cousins has used the same reference. This is no coincidence.

Cousins and Karl’s relationship is surely nearing the end, given the publicity this story will earn. If the Kings aren’t willing to trade Cousins and he ends up staying, things will get very interesting in Sacramento next season.

That's weird. I thought Iguodala and Karl had a good relationship and I'm definitely surprised Lawson would say something in regards to Karl like that. Karl is right now desperately trying to get Lawson back...

    Hm.

Well I think most of the time executives will speak in half truths. He just said outright that they wouldn't trade him. That's surprising. If he said something like "we're not going to discuss that" then I'd be more inclined to think something was happening.

Sounds like players around the league use the same "Snake in the Grass" label when referring to Karl.

That's pretty telling if you ask me.
