his layup attempts arent easy, usually contester n in traffic, hes taking it cause hes so athletic but feels like he puts up some of those ugly layups looking for fouls

The Lakers must be desperately praying and hoping somebody takes him off their hands.

If you've been watching the games its just not the turn overs, its the forced brick shots posting up as a 6'3 PG at the other end of his career while you have guys like Melo and Lebron out in the wing.

I'm done looking for the light in Russ. Theres no excuse to be playing like hes in OKC with a bunch of scrubs and when he does try to play pick and roll or feeds the post it looks like he never passed the ball before or its so out of rhythm its his excuse to play selfish on offense.

His defense is atrocious and the lack of effort is ridiculous there ain't no championship won with that kind of demeanor and not only that that puts down he morale and effort to the rest of the team.

Theres too many negatives and less positives, I cant believe I had the tenacity to complain about KCP.

That missed layup cost us the game, again.

I like his hustle. And don't want to hate him, but man...

Either Vogel has the balls to sit him late in the game when we are healthy or there's no chance at all for this group.

    Reaves
    Monk/Ellington/Melo
    Johnson/Ariza/Bradley
    Lebron
    AD

That's our best closing lineup imo

Westbrook will be instrumental in our run to the WCF, but if lays an egg, that’s where we stop.

He was pretty bad at the start of the season and then things started looking better before the covid breakout/AD injury. But now we NEED him to be the second star and he looks awful. His turnovers and lack of effort plays come at the worst times. They flip the momentum, stops our runs in its tracks and we can't recover.

I don't think we trade him though, at least not during this season. No one wants that contract and we don't have the additional assests to entice someone to take him (maybe if THT was still on a rookie contract). AND I think it'd be a bad look to trade him even if the experiment fails.

We're stuck with him this season. We'll hopefully make a few small moves, hope we get relatively healthy around the all star break. Maybe something clicks towards the end, we make the playoffs and make some noise.

Russ is still so damn explosive and spectacular in getting to the rim, but good lord he must have a mental block to figuring out how to apply more touch to f****** convert more of them. It’s astounding to see him miss so many. There have to be drills Handy can figure out for him, or a hypnotist the team can bring in, or Metta’s psychologist or SOMETHING!!!

We are basically stuck with him and he's untradeable why not just bring him off the bench. If Kevin Love can do it why can't he?

I am not sure any trade to get rid of Russ could be bad. If we got nothing back but could unload him we would be better off. I have to admit I was wrong. Somehow I thought he was going to fit in and be just what we needed.
He would be great off the bench and it would solve many problems.

I had to read that again. I thought 26 layup misses were for the year. That's in the last 4 f***ing games.

Bingo: yesterday I thought he played well but then in critical moments it's not just the missed layups or those 4th quarter TO's. To finish the 3rd quarter instead of running down the clock he took a forced ugly turn around jumper with plenty of time on the clock. That led to Morant hitting a 3 to end the quarter. Those little things end up being a big deal: that was a 3 point swing at a minimum and this is a game that basically came down to the final possession.
