    One of our young guys + #2 for lower pick and Cousins. Anything more than that is a no go. And I am a fan of Boogie. Orlando either helps us to get this deal done or not. I doubt there is anything more we can do here.

    I've gotta admit.... and I'm being 100% objective here.

    After watching that clip, I feel Okafor's post game is like 10x more impressive.
    And after looking up his stats, a career 46 FG% as a big man? Again, not impressed.

    I'm sorry but I have to take my previous comments back.
    I MUCH rather keep Okafor.
    May consider if it's just the #2 pick for Boogie AND #6.
    Nothing more.

    The snake in the grass comment is a perfect example of why I don't want this clown. Ok, you and your coach don't get along (pathetic considering Karl probably isn't done unpacking). Ok, you're butt hurt by the trade rumors, don't make a fuss about it publicly. If people think you're a head case and more effort than you're worth, you're only proving them right.

    Does anyone think Cousins who has literally been bumping heads with coaches since he was in high school is going to be okay with Byron and Kobe getting on him they way they did Lin or Swaggy?

    This is like bringing in Dwight but with less ability and a much worse attitude.

    I don't know if it's been posted here or not yet, but reports are saying that Karl is really pushing the FO to get rid of Cousins.

    Cousins is probably mad at the coach, FO is ticked at the coach, the coach ticked off at the FO for not moving him.

    Sacto is a mess.

    It was posted a couple pages back, but yeah they're super screwed up.

    According to Woj's report the Kings don't want the #2 pick. Unlike Stein, Woj didn't pretend the #2 pick AND Randle AND Clarkson wasn't enough. Woj just said that Sacramento doesn't WANT it. If they move Cousins, they want a proven veteran in return...

    The more I think about it, the more I think the Kings are trying to get more out of Denver. I think they want Lawson AND Faried and Denver has been hesitant to do it.

    This is a CRAZY mess... Did a little more digging:
    - Owner/Vlade really want to keep Cousins, but Karl doesn't.
    - Karl has HATED Cousins since he got there. He's consistently tried to get him traded, doesn't like him, doesn't feel like he can coach him. Wants him gone.
    - Owner is ticked off at Karl because Karl has been pushing nonstop behind the scenes to get Cousins moved.
    - Cousins really liked Malone and when Malone was fired he was notably upset.
    - Cousins was open to trying to build a new relationship with Karl, but Karl never reciprocated.
    - When Cousins was hurt for the year back in April, Karl never contacted him once.
    - In fact Karl and Cousins haven't spoken SINCE APRIL.
    - Cousins yesterday tweeted out "Snake the Grass" in a direct insult towards Karl and what he's been doing.
    - The Kings honestly don't want the #2 pick or Randle or Clarkson, the want a veteran. So despite the fact that a trade COULD make sense with LA, they won't do it. So when Stein said "the Lakers don't have enough assets to get it done" it's not because the trade doesn't make sense, but because Sacramento doesn't want to go that route. IF they trade Cousins it's to get competitive right away.
    - Now the Kings are willing to also move Gay who has been doing well there so far. Gay might be open to it.
    - Cousins camp has been told that Sacramento doesn't want to trade him and he honestly likes the city of Sacramento.
    - Cousins camp also is eager to move him though because of this mess. They feel he needs to go somewhere new to try to rebuild his image.
    - The Lakers are apparently quite interested and Boogie and his camp are certainly interested in LA.

    They JUST got him and he's a highly respected coach. If they fired Karl, the FO would look terrible and they'd never get a self respecting coach in there again.

    Definitely. If we're taking a guy that doesn't want to be there, we need assets back. I'd demand Cousins/#6 or they can find another partner. Okafor is no consolation prize for us.
