They want to win now so...they're trying to trade away Gay and Cousins while signing Rondo? Uh...what? That makes no sense.

So, the new coach they hired hasn't even been there for a year and has already cause an 'irreparable' divide between himself and the best player on the team, Vlade and Vivek don't want to trade Cousins even so far as going on record and saying it publicly but the coach is pushing hard for it working with Vlade behind the scenes to put together a plan for the owner to get behind moving Cousins. LOL! I called this place a mess earlier; it's a freaking disaster. They get rewarded with a new stadium too, right? What pisses me of is this is one of the teams that we share revenue with, right? Are you freaking kidding me?

This is a joke. That whole organization. Screw them. I can't freaking believe what I just read. I'm in disbelief. I shouldn't be, though. Kevin Johnson lobbying for this team so they wouldn't move out of Sacramento; anybody remember that? This team will rot in the lottery year after year; they have no direction, no plan, no structure, and have completely ostracized their best player. Great job, Sacramento.

What's crazy is you have ESPN criticizing the hell out of us? Why not Sacramento? They spend all their time on us claiming gloom and doom to our franchise even after we get our number 2 pick, cap space, and new found injected hope in our franchise. Not to mention our glorious past when the late great Jerry Buss was running the team. I'm sick of all of it. Sick of ESPN; Sick of mismanaged small market team. I want to smash this league again for the next decade and show them how it's done responsibly from an executive, management, scouting, and coaching level. This just motivates me even more to get back where we belong. On top where we ought to be.

    Sorry, I spazzed. Screw Sacramento.

    they ARE a mess

the more i think about it the less i want us to trade

let them keep cousins screw the queens and their cowbells

i'd hate to see us with a headcase like cousins and then see okafor doing big things somewhere else

    1. cap space? for what FA? the first one ever that wants to go to sac?
    2. they might not need space to sign rondo--the mavs may operate over the cap and be willing to s&t
    3. if George karl wants to win now, why trade the top two players on the team for what will likely be talent downgrades? wouldn't you just move the #6 for an established veteran at a position of need?
    4. my a** the #2 pick isn't valuable. picks that high fetch allstars in their prime (on the rare occasion they're moved). if sac doesn't want it, it has about as much purchasing power as cousins out on the market, imo.
    5. the more I think about this, the more I'd really prefer the lakers keep the pick and take okafor.
    6. I like numbered lists.

Perhaps it has been confirmed that Minny is taking Towns at #1. Curious as to what people think if Towns was available with the second pick? Does that change anything?

Cousins puts up numbers on a team where no one else can. That's fine. What I do not like about DMC is that he's always been a head case. You think Kobe had issues with Dwight? You ain't seen nothing yet. I give DMC about a dozen games before he says eff it and gets the name of that water skiing resort from Cedric
    Ceballaos.

What people aren't taking into consideration is what we're paying Okafor for a few seasons which will allow us to sign people around him and also maintain his Bird rights when it comes time to pay him again.

Also, Okafor is a terrific passing big man. That has influence on players who might like to be on the floor with him.

Cousins is fools gold. Stick with the rebuilding plan. This may be the highest draft asset we have for many seasons. Don't waste it on Cousins.

Good news everyone chill it's all just cooler talk made up rumors

    http://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...vek-ranadive-demarcus-cousins-trade/29143601/

"We have zero interest in moving Cousins, so I don't know where that's coming from," Ranadive said when asked about an ESPN.com report in which a Kings-Los Angeles Lakers-Orlando Magic trade scenario was discussed. "But if you like, you should talk to (Kings vice president of basketball and franchise operations) Vlade (Divac), because I know Vlade feels exactly the same way. And I'm deferring to Vlade on everything. We have no interest in moving him. From my perspective, it's really simple: we feel that he's a one-of-a-kind player, and we have a group of players right now and we're going to build on it."

I'll trust Mitch on this one. Boogie to the Lakers means goodbye to the #2 and Randle. Or Clarkson. But if we can still get a high pick, we could get Mudiay instead of Clarkson, for example - or throw money at Love/LMA instead of Randle and then pick Hezonja/Johnson type player.

    No Clark = Mudiay/Kobe/Free Agent?/Randle/Cousins
No Randle = Clark/Kobe/Hezonja?/LMA?/Cousins (this is a beastly lineup)

I'm a big fan of Cousins, he's a star and the most skilled 5 in the league. And he's not even entering his prime yet.

Who knows what will happen here, but again... I'll just trust the FO here. They know what they are doing. But if they ask for both Randle and Clark - hell no.

We would not be able to keep both our youngsters, come on. One of them has to go in this trade.

    I don't know what's worse.

The Lakers trading #2/Hill for Boogie

    OR

    Wolves trading #1/Pekovic for Boogie
and the Kings drafting Okafor to screw up my dreams

"Snake in the grass" Is likely a Karl reference. One thing for sure, they have no choice but to move him now. I just wonder if the green meanies are going to get involved as they have more picks and young talent to spare (than we are willing to spare for DMC). Not to mention they are in a much more attractive destination for the Sac FO.

Stein said on SC tonight that we don't have the assets alone to get Cousins and would need a 3rd team. He said we have Randle, Clarkson, and the 2nd pick, but that alone isn't enough. LOL, that alone. That alone is TOO much. Not many years ago now Delonte West, Wally Szczerbiak, and the 5th pick (Jeff green) was enough to get Ray Allen, a franchise player that had actually had some relative success up to that point and carried some teams. The #2 pick alone should be worth a great deal in this draft, and adding in only Clarkson should be a great pickup, not "not enough". The price is too high, move on and take your chances with Okafor or Towns.
