So, what? Get rid of Byron.

Nailed it and my thoughts completely. After the shock wore off, the timing of the tweet came quickly into my attention. The Lakers don't do this kind of stuff.

This rings false. I would bet we had conversations a while ago when smoke of Boogie being on the block started to come out. I'm betting right NOW the Lakers aren't in any talks to get Cousins.

I wouldn't expect those averages, but he'd probably do really well still. 20/10 with over a block a game is a good Center to build around. Even on a bad team, Boogie was putting up 30/15 games last year. That's some talent.

    Things to consider:
    - every agent throws the "LA" rumors out there for their clients. Take them with a grain of salt
    - we might / we might not, but I like that Mitch is exploring every option
    - If Mitch thinks we can get the player he wants at 5, 6, or 7, I say go for it. He was in those workouts. In Mitch I Trust

Cousins is good but no. I don't do that deal

Randle and Okafor is better than Cousins alone.

The only two scenarios I could think of that makes sense for us.

    1. #2, Clarkson, and fillers for Boogie and #6
    2. #2 and fillers for Boogie

I'm assuming we'll still get either Sac or Orlando's pick too.

So you think Clarkson is worth more than a #6 pick? I tend to agree but I honestly think it's about equal value.

Take Cousins + #6 anyday... I would give up Okafor & Randle for that, but I'd prefer not including Randle...

I'd give up Randle before Clarkson Though.

    Let the flames begin..

    I
Don't get too attached. I hope we did get another draft pick, though. The more I see C. Payne the more I like.

No to Randle. He is our future alpha. Successor to Kobe.

And the key to the Kentucky bond with Boogie.

Can we please stop plugging Randle in at 3? I'm a better fit at SF than Julius. Please refrain.

    Sincerely,

Food for thought: What if Mitch was just as impressed with Mudiay as he was with Okafor and Russell? Or Porzingis? And he knows there is a solid chance one of them will be there at 6...wouldn't it make sense to move down and try to pick up an asset in the process? If that is the case, why not try for Cousins...couldn't hurt.

I disagree. Randle would be better at sf then you. I don't even need to have seen you play. ;)
The question with this though is does he believe that guy is better than Randle, because that's essentially what the trade is. Okafor for Boogie. Randle for #6.

    In Mitch I trust.

I really don't like the idea of giving up Randle or Clarkson though. No way we get DC without parting with one of them, and it sure as hell better not be both.
