Not terrible. Just a terrible fit next to one of the most important players on the team and couldn't perform a Melo role for us.

1st two years I used to joke he was going to be the first player inducted into the Hall while he was still playing. Blame it on the Kardashian crowd … they wrecked him in the head. As evidenced by the things he wears with that emo look on his face. :D

It's not like he became a better shooter in DC ... He's just got more opportunities .

He became a "winning" player with us in the regular season but totally choked during the playoffs

as some of us said when he was here, he needed a role we couldn't provide. i'm just laughing at how everyone wanted to ship him out for anything.

    current THT assassins, take note.

What the fans think doesn't actually matter at all. Most fans are homers and blind to facts. They either hate or love without much ability to analyze. It's what the FO thinks. I do trust them to think things through and talk it over with the players. This is all you can do as a FO. I think Rob is a players guy, he absolutely talks things over with all the marquee guys on the team. Lebron and Davis at a minimum. Then talks it out with Rambis and the Buss family, who ever has the ears. Not sure if Jeanie does all this on her own or likes to operate in a family chamber. Together, they don't always make the right decisions but nobody really does. They are trying to win and they spend a lot of money trying to do so. We could be way worse off.

Bottom line is, they want to win another ring or two with Lebron and they are committed to doing that. They will do anything within their means to reach that end.

If they feel like our best chance is to find another player at anyone's expense, so be it. I am pulling for THT but it this situation is squarely on his shoulders. If he can play like he did in our win over Sactown, I like his chances. If he pulls too many empty stats in games where he is invisible. That is a problem for us. We already have Reaves who is doing that. Any of the vets who do that are questionable too. Not because any of them are bad players because I know most of them are good enough to shine and other teams. If they want to stay here, they have to shine next to AD and Lebron. Period.

The guy I am loving right now is Monk. If Vogel does not consider him a lock for a starting job, then I start thinking there is something wrong with Vogel. He is showing himself to be the perfect SG for this system. We need defensive stoppers. Johnson might be this guy, hope we can resign him. I think THT can help here with his length, if he can just remain consistent on offense so that we don't lose much when he is subbed in for RW or Monk.

I think Vogel has experimented enough. Set our rotation.
