We won more with AD and Lebron playing period. Those defenders that couldn't shoot, didn’t win much without one of those two. They had been here for a couple of years. This current group has been here for a couple of months. Missing Bron is still an issue , but Tucker has played 2 games and Nunn hasn't played any. The kid is a player and he was he big signing IMO.
Hi all it’s not looking good on the Nunn return front. Apparently Lakers don’t expect him back any time soon according to this Bleacher Report article. I looked up more articles about bone bruises and it seems they can take a month or two to heal. Sometimes numerous months. I think we should change the title of this thread. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.si...nn-not-close-return-timeline-knee-bone-bruise
I'm going to stay optimistic on two fronts here, because the guy he referenced in that article, had a video on the subject in the link. He stated that this injury could take up to a month to heal, not a couple of months. He also said that when it heals these injuries don't tend to linger. So I'm going with around thanksgiving, Vogel's "ways off " comments can be vague..he made it seem last week that Tucker would be out a little longer and started him after 1 practice with without playing any 5 on 5. Pain tolerance seems to be the determining factor, but like Lebron, I'd rather see him back at 100 percent.
Still need to change the title. He was supposed to be reevaluated in two to three weeks not return at that time. 3 weeks was November 11. No reevaluation yet and Lakers say he’s not coming back soon. Optimism or pessimism doesn’t matter right now, it’s been a month already and he’s going to be out longer now. Those are just the facts.
I'm guessing he's getting closer to being cleared. Another week or two? The word on bone bruises, is that they usually don't linger or hamper players, once they are cleared to play. It's not one of those nagging reoccurring injuries. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.si...rick-nunn-sure-has-loads-of-confidence-sy2021
But dangerous to the integrity of the bone if played on too soon I have read. Something like a micro honeycombing going on in the specific area (for lack of the actual description)
Bubble tax: "Oh you mean you got a solid player using the MLE, your only remaining asset after the Russ trade?" "We're just gonna go ahead and give him the worst bone bruise possible."
