This guy provided the only good play in game 5 - boxing out CP3 and sending him to a tearful trout dance.
Don't want this to get lost in the shuffle. Wes had great hustle and energy out there. Really left it all out there. I'll welcome him back with open arms. Should've started all season. F you DS.
Wes is good in my book: a little too trigger happy with the 3s but he played well on offense and defense
Absolutely, he showed some heart when it mattered, hit big shots, played admirable D on Booker, he was just on fire. I’d take him back for sure.
I’d love to have him back. I’m a fan of Wes and he showed some serious heart even though we barely played him this year.
Heart, hustle, and experience. Can never have enough of those if you're a contender. I can honestly say that he and Trezz were the only two to bring 100% every second they played out there.
I would add AC Fresh to that list as well. The injuries just kept him back but otherwise he was all heart and soul as usual.
He’s saying all the right things. Especially for a guy who had such spotty playing time. Come on back Wes.
Wes knows he is a vet minimum player now so if he's saying he wants to come back, it won't be about the money but simply whether the Lakers want him back. I don't know. He is a 38% shooter from three for his career but shot 34% from three for the Lakers. What really happened there? Rotations? No LeBron/AD? Inconsistent minutes? If he can get back to that 38% shooting range, it would be golden. Gotta figure out what went wrong. Lakers #1 move will be to figure out what to do with their coaching. Vogel is due for a contract and J.Kidd seems to be on his way out. Can't build a roster without solidifying the coaching roster.
Definitely want him back. Glad he feels the same way. Like Morris, I'm a little surprised given his role and DNPs. Lock him up early in the process.
