No I’m dead serious he was nowhere close to your exaggerated depiction of him. As mentioned being a former DPOY and the “smarts” that went along with that since he was never a gazelle on the court, with positioning, angles, anticipation and quick hands helped somewhat to offset the step or two lost. But yeah once AD was out and no other help at the rim with guys blowing by perimeter defenders … his defense up at the rim was the weakest part of his defense.

Dwight should start many games at C to relieve AD, I like this move

Well...looks like DJ said the wrong thing to Frank, whatever it was.

Again, it's "little things" and one of those those things I think Dwight is better than DJ is screen setting and consistently taking a better angles on screens consistently for Russ.

    Makes a difference.

Looking forward to seeing this change in the starting lineup. Maybe that's the answer, who knows?

We'll see if this change still holds true now that James is back. One thing for sure is, DJ will be lucky to get anything outside of garbage minutes now.

LOL if he doesn’t want to be released so Frank can keep his blankee in Bradley …. he needs to stay ready for when Dwight goes Dwight with the personals and flagrants trouble, and we need to stay big.

Oh, we need him still for sure. But the starter job is gone. I have the feeling that DJ is AD's buddy going back to him very overtly thanking Pelinka for his acquisition. And how easily we let Dwight get away last year speaks volumes. l think Dwight has an extreme personality and opinions and it grates on some people.

When Dwight’s on he brings far more to the table than DJ. He can still be dominant for a quarter on defence and help us get a 20-8 run.

AD seems to play his best as the weak side helper. That’s why the Bron at C has worked well and why Dwight and AD can be really good defensively together.

Lets hope he can maintain that level of play in a bigger role... and to not get 2 fouls in 2 mins.

Yep: his biggest issue I've seen is not his play but the foul trouble.

He needs to start being nice the officials because right now since the Bubble playoffs he got labeled a goon by Bill Simmons and that rep is costing him fouls.
As everything it's a 1/2 truth. Yes like every other star player has been through Dwight was told to be physical with Jokic and he was but that's the nature of the game. The rep from Bam injury was b******* as Bam initiated all the contact. But it's water under the bridge, he has the rep and its costing the lakers

BUMP from the ignominy of page 2, adding insult to his insult being left off the all time 75 greatest list. Dude has shown no signs of letting up with his M. Gasol like late career game change …. and is freaking 6-8 from deep and at 75%. Flukish or not at some point give the man his props.

still would liked to have seen marc/dwight as the c rotation, now that you (sort of) mention it.

At some point or already no way to tell who caught first and infected the others. If it was before a practice the whole team was exposed. Yikes. What about Bradley who’s still got the immune system compromised son. That’s got to be freaking them out.
