    Batman is a state of mind. Kobe was a Batman. Kobe liked how Russ played.

    Kobe wanted to play with Lebron so Lebron could be his Pippen. Pippen = Robin. AD = Robin. If Kobe played with Lebron there would be no question who was deciding on the last shot.

    Batman needed Robin to have his back. Nothing wrong with Robins.

    You have to WANT the last shot, no matter how misguided you are in thinking you’re the best option. You have to want to step on throats and rip jugulars out. All game long.

    not just “make the right play” and hope JR Smith comes through for you

    My point is I like the mentality that Russ brings to the game and the team. The sheer force of will. The ways he’s wired to compete. We need that after losing Batruso

    You both know it's true. Your definition of Batman is so far away from the character. I think Wolverine would be better, since Kobe and Russ are both berzerkers:LLLLLebronlaughing:but then you won't be able to disparage LeBron with your Robin schtick

    hmmm...probably what jumped out at me is that we've run the russ/AD pick and roll basically as much as anyone runs any pick and roll, which actually shocks me.

    Yeah, the eye test tells me we're barely running it at all. I guess no one is Stockton and Malone-ing it anymore? Makes since with the 3 ball spike.

    Russ is warming up, maybe even a little earlier than usual. It's really unfortunate that Lebron has missed so many games, I had envisioned the trio to be clicking around this time. It's still good to start to see some chemistry being developed between Russ and AD.
