Now AD is all of a sudden some kind of scrub? Tough crowd around here.

    Don't manipulate (again) the narrative.

There's no passing the torch because AD is and was incapable of playing like a contender franchise player.

I guess we are going to find out if that is a correct assessment this season.

He's not a scrub, but he is shooting like one, that's for sure. We need him to be significantly more efficient. Because, as we discussed earlier, he is now THE MOST INEFFICIENT jump shooter in the NBA.

I sure hope AD realizes that shooting a historically low percentage from three and a bad one from long two’s is hurting the team and stops doing it. I understand he likes shooting long J’s, but the percentages tend to go up when a shooter decides to switch it up and starts to release closer to the basket. He doesn’t need to be in the post every play, but how about getting him some screens so he can operate around the elbows? Kobe destroyed defenses by nailing mid range jumpers around this area.

Too many passive games shooting jump shots instead of making higher percentage shots happen. While the coaching staff has done a terrible job of getting him better looks, AD has his hand in it as well. He's been too easily pushed out to the top of the key, passing up the ball to guards instead of posting, and settling for jumpers. Maybe he's gun shy because of last year's injuries. Maybe he's lazier. Maybe he's trying to let others get into their groove instead of establishing his own. Whatever it is I don't want to hear about the Lakers turning it on and winning 10 in a row because they are the Lakers. That's garbage. How about win two games in a row? How about play like you mean it?

It's still November and he'd been shooting pretty good in the last 10 games before he got sick. This why I hate throwing out stats early in the season. It's mostly attention grabbing hype.

Maybe it's just early in the season and he's just getting adjusted to his 12 new teammates too. IDK ..

I love AD, but my gawd is he sofffffft. And yea, he'll have huge games 30 pts, 12 boards, 5 dimes, 3 blocks, 2 steals. And then, for his next game: really bad. He's empirically capable of having two monster games, back-to-back, but it's slightly less rare than seeing Halley's Comet.

    What?
Throwing out facts regarding how a player is or isn’t producing is hype?
    Wow.

sorry, but I’ve already addressed this nonsense. Show me the player who puts up that stat line over and over.

I’m sorry fans want what doesn’t exist.

No making it out to be some kind of a big deal is the hype. Like I said, this is November if this was May, it would pack more of a punch.

Well, we are a quarter way through the season with many issues that aren’t going to just magically disappear with positive thinking.
Action steps need to be taken if real improvement is going to happen.

Yeah they are going to magically improve because we are talking about it on a message board too. I imagine that they have to actually play the games to improve anything. Personally..I'm more interested in how we finish. I'm not in panic mode about anything at the moment.

Much better effort from AD tonight, 25 on 10-15, hit 2 threes, 10 boards, blocked 3 shots. Cunningham is gonna see him in his nightmares, he owns that kid.

He'll have a great game, then a not-even-good game for a guy with his skills.

ok, but who's the player who doesn't have those games basically 1-in-4 nights? giannis? end of list? keep in mind, the pitchforks are out when he goes for 20/8 on 45% shooting and is the team's best defender. so, on his supposedly terrible nights, he's...og anunoby or something.

Good showing from AD. Sustained effort, that's where my issue with him typically shows itself. Worked on D, limited his 3s to two and made both... somehow.

Very good game. Hopefully those 3s don't encourage him to shoot more.
