The arguments seems to be he's not optimizing this roster offensively as he should be; we have to find a more creative offensive mind that can unlock this roster offensively and make it easier for Russ, Bron, and AD.

    That's my understanding.

But Fiz is ALREADY there and he’s not sandbagging holding back genius offensive strategies. Eff the idea of making him the HC to turn it around with his past record wins and losses.

what consensus? that report just says not everything is his fault but doesn't mean Vogel doesn't have any blame, crap system no ball movement and this same problem occurred since hes been here except in yr 1 of ad/bron were playing exceptional ball

I don’t think any better coaches are available, but Frank is just not helping himself. Like that article says he refuses to try to fix things. We have a decent sample size of which players work best with eachother, and which lineups are horrible, and he ignores it. He may not be THE problem, but he hasn’t been part of the solution. I don’t know what the team should do, but we can’t keep running some lineups he likes, and we can’t keep playing “here leBron you do it” basketball.

i'd LOVE to hear some accountability for management here. nobody seems to know which coach will do the magic thing to make this roster work. whose job is it to put together a sensible roster? if you wanted to be a run and gun, no defense team, why extend vogel? once you extend him, why give him a bunch of non-defenders?

My bigger issue, because I like nearly all of our signings independent of one another, is once you see there is a roster issue refusing to do anything about it because you're too f***ing cheap. You can't go all in, half way.

Secondly there's hardly anyone over 6-4 and no one to guard any SF in the NBA.

Seriously, we have 80 guards and Stanley Johnson with our G-League and Ennis sitting out there somewhere. Waive some players and adjust this roster, being cheap cost us Caruso, and it’s costing us at the wing right now.

As good as he's been, if a GM is relying on an undrafted rookie and a one-footed ancient Ariza then he should be the one who gets fired and not Vogel.

It all started with the fascination for acquiring a 3rd star.

    1) Lebron shares the largest share of the blame pie for his meddling and desire to stack the roster so he can have an easy path to the ring.
    2) Pelinka should have put up boundaries and let the players focus on the basketball court while he handled the roster construction... but no he allowed LBJ to have the largest influence in the decision making
    3) Jeanie going cheap on not re-signing AC
    4) Players supposedly preparing together over the summer and spending a lot of time working out (Which turned out to be useless) and they turned in a dud in the preseason and start of season. (I'm looking at you AD)
    5) Vogel not calling out the players and not keeping them accountable for their piss poor start to the pre season and regular season.

All of them from the top to bottom deserves blame for the current predicament.

For me the blame pie goes 99% to the players lack of effort. The only guy who brings it every night, albeit on the offensive end only, is Russ.
AD and LeBron take entire games off and play at 20%. This is completely unacceptable and if the coaching staff can’t do anything about it, they can all be shown the door.
This team has more than enough talent to be much better than they are at this point.
I do blame Rob for letting LeGM heavily influence roster decisions, but there’s no use crying over spilled milk.
A shake up is in order if they want to right this ship.
They also need to trade some of their guards for a wing who can defend.

I think a lot people recognize he wasn’t given a roster that was to his strengths and don’t necessarily think he should be fired. I think there is an expectation he might be fired because we look so bad and it’s tough to see how they will fix it.

With little to no roster flexibility, it’s easier to see them getting rid of Vogel than yo pull off a trade.

there’s also the thought that at this point the roster is what it is. If Frank can’t figure it out then we need to find someone else.

My thoughts from the cheap seats would be to keep him. I’d also crack open the wallet, hire a real search firm and find an offensive mind or two we can add to the staff and then pay them. Basically beef up his staff and go from there.

Terry Stotts is available I believe, who made the call on hiring Fiz?

I’d like to know too but my guess would be it wasn’t Vogel. Is Stotts renowned for a great offensive mind, if we’re talking about bringing him to “help” in that area?

What I’d like to know is why in hell hasn’t this been done already when they had the opportunity with Kidd leaving IF Fizdale wasn’t that Guy??

My guess would be Fiz was a hire to appease LeBron once Kidd left. LeBron has been a supporter of Fiz in the past, like when he was fired from NY. It’s also possible the FO doesn’t see a need for an offensive specialist when most LeBron teams run the “let LeBron do it all” offense.

I thought LeBron was supposed to have such a great basketball mind??
Why hasn’t he seen the flaws in the offense and addressed them?

I hope they have realized that those times have come and gone. LeBron isn’t that guy anymore. I mean isn’t this the whole reason they brought Russ in? So LeBron wouldn’t “have to do it all?”

His forte is drawing up and calling good offensive plays. He was a bit clueless on defense though. I think he and Frank could work well, but it's a bit dicey bringing in another guy that was such a recent Head Coach.
